Just for the sake of conversation - Would another Sunday... say 7/31 work better for more people.

The 31st looks good for me.This Sunday looks doubtful now as we'll still be at VA Beach.

Only Rich would buy Habanero juice at an inspection station, Rasberry to boot, next he'll be drinking Coors Light

I can go either way on the cookout. I am just looking forward to getting together with some good people.

2 more surgeries scheduled for tomorrow. I'm still on the fence regarding a internal vs external fixation for my busted leg.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts and prayers. Big day tomorrow.

My thoughts are with you Jimmy.

I have the internal fix for my tibia fracture and they let the fibula grow back on its own with no hardware. I had no choice but if I had I would have picked the less invasive way.

I second that. Same as above. I have a piece of metal in next to my shin bone after a tib/fib fracture. The other bone was left to itself to heal into a nice S-bend. The metal hurts when it gets cold because it expands/contracts at a different rate than the bone. It might be in your body, but that doesn't mean that it stays the same temp.

Personally I'd go with the external. They get excited about the idea of removing the internal stuff later, and I shudder to think of the extra trauma it would require to remove my hardware.

I know this might be a little late as they have probably already decided and prepped. Either way, I'm praying for the best for you. You know the Lord wouldn't of let this happen to you if you couldn't handle it. (with his help of course) Maybe getting me to think that was part of the plan.

I know it has been said plenty of times but the folks on here are all great people and if you need anything, let us know, and between all of us, I am sure we can make something work.
