Thumb Ride and eat

freaking RT,

Check out this fine dining if you're down near Chatham sometime. Nothing fancy, just food made to order, with a smile.

A friend and I happened upon the place while making our (long) way back from NC yesterday. Stay long enough to chat with the locals, they like hearing what it's like outside their community there at Chalk Level.

Beautiful part of VA too.

Moving Forward

I had an internal fixation and wound vac installed Fri morning. What a relief to finally move forward. Now we pray for no infection.

Thanks for all of your prayers and positive thoughts.

Blessings,
Jimmy

Good luck Jimmy, I was doing my best to inform you as well as possible about all of your options without swaying your descision. I glad you went internally with vac.

Yesterday, a bunch of us did the Morton's/Rawhyde into GS class. Most importantly, it was fun, I was not at work on a weekday!, I got to chat about bikes all day, we got a free lunch, the guys from Rawhyde were nice, Morton's (as usual) did a A1 job, and we got to do a tiny bit of dual sporting on the Massey Family farm which has been in the family since something crazy like 1760. (a few GS's took short naps but thankfully nobody got hurt)
My only complaint (and I am not complaing b/c it was FREE and fun) is that the training was very, very, very basic but it was simply a appetizer for their 2, 3 and 5 day classes. It worked, now I want to do either the Death Valley ride or the CDR ride within the next couple of years (it's not cheap!)

If you use one of their tour packages, I'm sure it's not. IMHO - something like the GDR (CDR) is best enjoyed by a couple of close friends , and not a large tour group .

YMMV, of course.

I believe they said the CDR tour was with 4 riders and not a large group.

I was looking at their previous tour photos, and sure looks like there's more than four. Perhaps they've changed the format?

yesterday at the Massey Farm

Had a great time yesterday up at the Morton's/RawHyde Class. It was great to be riding off road.I agree with Eddy, a more in depth ride will be fun too. It's still good to work on good fundamentals and form.I'd be interested in a CDR ride in the next couple of years. Here's a big thanks to Jeff Massey and the goood folks at Morton's and RawHyde.

Sunday Verde Sunday...

Sorry for the delay in notifying everyone. I've been on the move. I tried to post a re-schedule notice from my phone earlier, but I got pissed and gave up. (I love my smart phone until it acts stupid.)

Anyway... yes Sunday Verde Sunday has been rescheduled for 7/31. Come one. Come all. Come for the taste of semi-authentic Mexican food and the company of 100% authentic peoples.

Oh, and Mike.... Happy birthday!! (tomorrow.) Kristen was going to make you a cake. Now you'll get nothing! And like it!
