Enough getting me to be all morbid and what not. Say a prayer for everyone affected that day, Thank the lord for some spec ops guys who went into Pakistan and continue living happy and free as revenge on the rest of the SOBs.
On an unrelated note, I think I have made my decision regarding my strom and narrowed down my choices to a select few. |

Jimmy, I am very thankful that you are still here and are making progress. Just a raising of the hand and "Present" is worthy of saying.
DirtDoc, my short list consists of DRZ400sm or WR250X/R. I was also looking at the KLX250s/sf but I think it is just a bit too down on power and the SF is missing some suspension travel. I'm leaning more towards the SUMOs because 95% of my riding is on the road but I want a modicum of dirt capability. I'm thinking something lighter and slower than the Wee, that I can thrash around town and have a blast, but that is able to do some miles(with fuel stops) to get out to the Blue Ridge. Each bike has a speed it is comfortable at, I think I want to switch back to one that likes 45 to 55 versus 65 to 75. I miss a bit of the scenery as I fly by. |

Just got back from a glorious week of riding at the COG National at Mt. Snow, Vermont: http://gbyoung2.smugmug.com/Motorcyc...8423613_Jdrp4d ![]() Friday, headed west over to western PA (New Castle) for my high school class' 50th. reunion. I know the pix in the below links are of no significance to ya'll, but they are to me. Got to see a number of folks I haven't seen in over, well, 50 years. I had a good time. http://gbyoung2.smugmug.com/Family/N...8509184_q2kfw8 http://gbyoung2.smugmug.com/Family/C...8521707_PcFL4V Some of the 177 attendees getting ready for a group shot: ![]() Sunday, headed for the barn taking some really nice south central PA, MD, and WV back roads. Made it home around 3:30 Sunday afternoon. Gave the 180K mile Connie a grateful pat and thank you for giving me a wondferful, 2000 mile trouble-free ride. Much stuff to do in the garage, but it will have to wait a couple of days. My older daughter and our grandson are here visiting for a couple of days and I want to spend a little time with them. .

Didn't realize you were from up that way. I did 4 years at IUP in Indiana, Pa but I grew up out east in Lancaster.

I think I am ready to move on as well Jeremy. With baby on the way, my back not cooperating, and the many of fellow riders going down lately I am ready for the Tiger to move on.
A smaller slower ride for around town would do me just fine. If anyone is interested in the Tiger let me know because it will probably be a while before I get around to officially posting it. However $2,500 would take a perfectly running beast with some cosmetic damage. |

Yup. Born Latrobe, family moved to New Castle when I was around 8. Stayed there until I left for college, and ultimately the Service (U.S. Army). Took a job at GE in Lynchburg when I got my discharge in '66, and been here (Lynchburg, Chesapeake, and Richmond) ever since.

Consider a hack! Sacrifice some speed for a little more lateral stability and the ability to haul people or cargo. Check out the DMC Sidecar site. They can probably slap a sidecar on that Tiger.
