Check with Velocity (804-353-3456), they were looking for a mechanic a few weeks ago.

So Guy, what did it feel like to sleep in and not ride in to work this morning? Yes...I'm jealous! 18 to 20 more years for me...

Sleep in? Are you $hitting me? I was up at 4:45 (sans alarm clock) like normal. Out into the garage by 5:30... but for no other reason to take some pictures and start picking up and cleaning greasy, nasty tooling I had up in the loft that came with the lathe. Most of the stuff I have no idea what its for, but will post pix to one of the machine forums so I can identify it. I also wrote up a lengthy "this is what I did about my air piping system" piece (reason for the pictures) for a fellow who asked about it in a PM that came in yesterday. Figured that since it was dun writ, might as well post it to the Garage Forum too.

I've been in enough Stoddard Solvent today my hands look like Kermits.

Bottom line: I walked to "work" today. No gas expenses, or tolls.

And, thanks to Greg, a new customer. Just got off the phone with a lady and I'll be picking up her bike tomorrow evening.

Like a soldier that spends 20 years in the military, getting up well before sunrise is a hard habit to break! I knew that you would stay busy. I was going to get worried if you started asking people's opinion of Westminister Canterbury and casino bus trips to Atlantic City!

After my dad retired from 27 years of mechanical engineering, he and my mom got busier than ever by becoming travel agents and taking groups of people around the globe on trips to India, China, Russia, Europe, Spain and the Middle East, and by working with the church and doing ministry work. They had a ball until my mom got sick a few years later.

Enjoy it Guy! I've got my ears open for potential work for you.

We'll be doing what we can to keep you busy in retirement Guy...glad she called. She's a PhD Ed Doc and a really nice lady and has been a long time patient of my Dental Practice. It was a slam dunk to refer her to you when she was in today and said she was having carb issues from the bike sitting just like my wife's bike that you recently fixed so well.Sleep is overated anyways!

Kevin, I wish I could, but can't.

I had planned on being at the Brazenhead (Mingo, WV) for a friend's annual (FOJ - Friends of Jason) get-together. Had this on the schedule and vacation day planned (moot point now) for several mos. Mentioned it to my wife a few weeks ago and she said, "You can't go. That's the w/e Kim is getting married."

Long story short: Lady who grew up with my older daughter since grade school, and was a each others house so often people thought they were sisters. Older daughter is in the wedding, and will be coming down from MD this Thurs.

I am, however, looking at a date for the garage warming party. Just need to get this BS of getting the inlaws house cleared beforehand. My wife has been taking care of all of it, and her fookin' bros. ain't doing $hit to help. I'm about ready to make a phone call to both of them, and if I didn't think it would cause grief between my wife and myself, I would. May just toss that out at her tonight........

Is anyone from Richmond going to Bradly Pond for the camping/dual-sport riding thing?

I'm going riding this weekend or I'm going to go nuts! If anybody wants to go and get their bike dirty in the woods, take a street only ride to somewhere cool or do a marathon weekend to some far off land, PM me...I'm free this weekend with nothing on my schedule and a few dollars in my pocket to blow on gas, food and fun! I've been wanting to do a full weekend of riding on the GS since I got her.

Yeah, I know. Beauty sleeps have never worked for me, which is most obvious.

But, did she tell you it's a Honda PC800, Pacific Coast, that you need to peel 4 layers of plastic off just to get to the engine??

Whatever, it's only money, eh??

Seriously, appreciate the recommendation. Ladies tend to talk a lot (nah - really???), and I'll bet she has some lady riding friends to which she can spread the word.

There are a few of us camping at otter creek Friday night. No real plans after that. May do a little dirt. May end up at bradly pond. Dunno?

I enjoy not have having an agenda sometime.

So far it's me, Madstrom, and probably my two brothers.

Your welcome to join us. The weather looks to be outstanding.

Weekend

Hey guys
I'm back across the pond (11hr flight) but I'm still stuck in Newark trying to get back to RIC. I'd love a good two wheel road trip this weekend. Let me get home, unpack, look at the calendar and check with the boss. :-). All I want to do now is sleep in my own bed.
