I don't know what your using but you can probably lock it in 3g mode. Go to www.3gstore.com and you can buy a router and antenna for it :)

ended up spending a total of 4 hours to get this straightened out...sucky.
Got the "delux" $29 card, installed, signed up, and then got to work and it wouldn't connect..... spent 1 hr 48 minutes on phone with tech guru from Ntelos, and we both ended up saying the unit was a p/o/s...
went back to phone store....unit was non functioning, serialized a new unit....it was p/o/s also....2 non functioning units....
picked up the $9 unit, same exact specs for speed (max you will ever see sitting right next to a tower is 1.3 mbps, even tho it's rated for 3.1)
it worked like a champ.... speed from home (in the dead zone) is still good, but switches to 1x from broadband, so it's like really fast dialup....(unlike my really slow dialup). Tried it on my tower box, and i cant get it to connect...I'd have to hold my computer up to the window...need to get a long usb cord, or a add on antenna booster to get signal, laptop works great tho. Momma ain't happy about an additional $39 / month bill....cought hell for this one...

ended up with the Franklin CDU-680 unit, thanks, I'll take a look there...
if I can get this to work better on my home box unit, momma will be ok with it, but till I can prove it...I'm in the doghouse on the purchase/contract as far as she is concerned....

You ought to like that much better on the street than that Kaw dirt bike. Now your comfort level is on par with your husbands. Good for you.

Gonna buy a 'Busa now?

Great bike MudGirl!

Just finished my day-long project. Took the cover off the seat, shaved out some of the brick-hard foam, added a nice big piece of viscoelastic gel from JC Whitney, used some carpet padding to insulate it from the heat (gel retains heat well) then spray-glued and riveted the cover back on. Now hopefully my azz will tolerate longer trips better. We'll see...

Tell him to leave that tractor alone and work on your bike! I'm tell ya, tractor love is way worse than bike love. Those tractor guys go plumb round the bend they do. Believe me, I know from first hand. Keep a close watch on him. Now get him to bring you to Laurel Fork and we'll act like Virginia gentlemen.

Chainsaw recommendations

I have to get a new saw. My last one only held up to 2.5 days of cutting before the motor gave up.

I'm having about 15 hardwoods felled (80 - 110 ft), and I'll limb, buck and split them for firewood. I want a saw that will handle the job, and will last a good long time.

Any first hand recommendations?

I'm currently looking at the Husquvarna 455 and the Stihl 270, 280, and 290.

- Jimmy

Stihl 280 w/ 18" bar best saw I have ever owned. Owned it for 5 years now and it has never given me the first issue.

I took down, cut up etc 13 oaks 3 years ago with my my Stihl 025 (Now a 250) , w/16" bar. It's 13 years old and still going strong. Depends on how strong you back is and how much weight you can hold out at arms lenght while bent over. They can get awfully heavy awfully fast. FYI, Auto Parts Plus up next to Rte 522 has them. Stihls are hard to beat. You can try mine out if you like.
