Very sad for the owner/investors but that's unfortunately what happens when you sell something that doesn't sell well even in good times. Seriously, how many new Urals, MV or Guzzis have you really seen on the road? A dozen? And of those that sell, most of them are second, third or fourth bikes that aren't ridden much so they don't need servicing often.

Yup, you said it: "The business is an authorized dealer for Italian motorcycle brands MV Agusta, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, Vespa and Russian brand Ural."

One of the biggest issues, is that all of these seem to have "issues." The parts network for all of them is almost non-existent, and no one wants to have their bike laid up for the better part of a riding season waiting for some minimal item that keeps the bike off the road.

Having said that, being the (now) entrepreneurial type, I can sense the potential for an opportunity.

Guy, If you talk to them, I'd be interested in a lift and air compressor.

I don't think they are going to liquidate the equipment. They are trying to sell the business which includes the Name, website, land, building, equipment, and inventory.

I have already talked to them, and presently they are going to separate the building from the inventory. Altho' not mentioned, I assume they would sell it "as is" lock, stock, and barrel if they got the right offer.

@ Pete: Just curious. Just curious...........................

They have a real nice table lift that the front and rear areas fold down for working on the front of the rear of the bike / changing tires. The rest of the lifts are Harbor Freight types, the air compressor is ginormous, I think 3 phase. The owners (Mike & Carol) are retiring in NC next year. Even though I do not own my Stelvio anymore (still have my V-1000) I hate to see honest business owners leave the industry, they are few and far between.
