Cry

Hey guys. I haven't posted in a while but I'm throwin this out here... I'm considering selling my street legal 87 XR600R and I couldn't think of a better place to see if anyone is interested. It has a baja designs kit, xr's only lowering link and tank cover, pro taper evo handle bars, power madd hand guards, and the trail tech voyager trail gps/speedo unit. It has 1 down 2 up gearing (with new chain and about 75 miles on the sprockets and chain) which is great offroad but screams @ around 65MPH on the highway. I was planning to ask $1750. If anyone is interested I need to pull it out of storage at the dealership I work at and freshen it up. It has continental twinduro tires on it but there pretty much shot for any offroad riding but they have some decent street tread left. I didn't want to replace tires since I don't know what the next owners preferences will be. I reeeally like the bike but I got a little one on the way and found out the mommy to be can't work for 6 weeks after the baby is born. Ill post some pics in a few, as soon as I can get on a real robot box.

BTW, sniper, I'm in lynchburg and work @ a honda suzuki aprilia dealership. Were a little low on stock right now because of the season but we have a few bikes on the floor and I know we have an sxv550 in the service dept that belongs to a customer. Lynchburg is 2 hours west of richmond...

No dealers in my town except Yamaha, Kawi, and Honda. Just want to drool (I mean look) over them. My current dual sport ride is an 02 KTM 640 LC4, road bike is a 03 Honda CBR600RR. One of these days I'd like to get in to the larger bore adventure setups like the bmw800 or 1200, super tenere, even ktm's offerings. Never seen any of these bikes in person. It would be nice to look at them ftf, sit on them, and see how they feel/weigh compared to what I am used to.
Thanks in advance. Flying up, so will only be riding my dad's dirtbikes while I'm up there.

I was wondering that too. I heard the owner was retired and the business was an investment though. Hope it isn't gone. That's where I got my Ranger serviced. Good folks, great rates.

Places to ride dirtbikes in Richmond/Powhatan area?

planning to stick around Richmond. Since my dad has a couple dirtbikes, I'd like to ride some single track. He only has a couple trails around his house which gets old quick. Anyone know of any single track/trails, etc... around the Richmond/Powhatan area? I'm willing to pay to ride if there are any public areas, or if you know of someone with some private land that rides. Nothing major, just would like to ride with him one day while I'm there during the week. Only there from Monday to Saturday.
Thanks in advance.

I went in there earlier this year because I needed some jets and they were the only people around Richmond who had any in stock. Nice people. As I recall mostly used inventory - ATV's, some Triumphs (bonneville, scrambler), and other misc. road bikes.

Wow, no offense, but you're asking for all kinds of unobtainium aren't you?

I know of a place, but it's far from legal. The closest legal areas are in the National forest, and they're infested with quads on the weekends. Real single track? You must be kidding.

If your bikes have license plates, you can ride the forest roads in the NF, but that's still 2.5 hours west.

Now that I've said that, I do know of a place off Rt. 33 IIRC that, last year, charged $20 a day to ride. It was very tight and somewhat challenging. basically, it's someone's practice track. Total mileage is about 6. Good for a half-day of tree-bashing.

PM me if you want me to track it down. I just had a knee replacement, and I won't be riding for a while. Usually, we head for WV or PA to do any decent off-road riding.

There are places to sneak around, but you really need a guide, and a license plate to escape.

The really neat places down by the river have all been shut down. If there are other areas out there, people do not spread the word. Too much repression, man.

SPAM - FOR SALE - 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Thought I would throw this out here before putting it up on Craigslist or the Trading Post

FOR SALE - 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager
Purchased late 1999
Mileage: 152069
No oil consumption
Transmission is sound and serviced (fluid changed) on a yearly basis during state inspection
New Battery
New Water Pump
Fresh VA State Inspection (done today; good to 11/2012)
Rear window defroster
Heated mirrors
Decent tires
Mechanically sound with no issues that I am aware of
Body sound, no rust. Some clear coat peel on hood
Electric Door Locks
Electric Windows
Air conditioning (works)
Cruise
Tilt steering wheel
AM/FM CD cassette stereo sound system (factory)
Upholstery in good condition, no tears, holes, or excessive wear areas

This vehicle was my wife's daily driver until it was taken off the road in 2010 due to a noisy water pump, which I didn't have time to replace at the time. This was taken care of a couple of weeks ago when preparing the vehicle for sale. New battery was also installed at the same time.

Only interior issue is that the headliner is beginning to fall.

No crash history other than minor RH passenger door damage when it was backed into at a gas station around 2002. This was professionally repaired at the time.

Pictures can be seen at: http://gbyoung2.smugmug.com/Other/19...0196579_GLFSVD

Asking $3300.00

PM if interested.

My friend thinks he does want them for his treehouse. He said granite was too heavy to get up in the tree.
