yesterday, when the troopers were leaving my house, Guy and I were musing with big smiles, just How Many Givi bags and trunks were gonna come off.....from the meeleeee

eddy, might check the book to see if there is a "drop" detector circuit that went sour, and needs to be reset, My C14 has one, and will give an alarm/prevent starting untill it's cleared.

Off to Urgent Care this morning. Hurts to rotate the leg. Thankfully I had a set of crutches laying around. Just going to make sure I didn't break anything.

Hey Rick, if it doesn't look like this, he'll be fine.

photos /video from yesterday

Wasn't recording when I want down but this is what the view from the go pro was like afterwards. It was a true face plant.

I also got this action shot of Greg. I think both of us were tractionally challenged yesterday.

John,
If you can wiggle your toes, have normal sensation in them and a good pulse in your foot, you are wasting your time going to a urgent care/Patient First/etc... All they will do is examine you (as well as a non-orthopaedist MD/PA can and they won't inject it with steroids or drain any extra fluid out.), they will only give you crutches, a velcro leg immobilizer, some Percocet and a piece of paper with instructions to go see an orthopaedist next week. You would be better off icing it, elevating it and staying off of it all day and seeing your orthopaedist/ortho PA in the morning. Keep doing movement, sensation and pulse checks every two hours until morning.

LOL Jeremy. Funny that Greg hasn't posted/commented anything about that.

A Kodak moment posted for time immortal.

That was on the "pre trail" section and it had plenty of muddy spots for the bikes with the more street oriented tires. The rear kept sliding on Greg. I'll admit it was an even tamer looking mud puddle that sent me flying to land on my head.

As much I enjoyed helping MOB get his poop together for the move, I really would have liked to have been out there with ya'll playing in the mud. You would have definitely seen some epic crash and burns since my confidence level is now at a minus zero ever since my "fall down and break something" issue up in Montana..... followed up a couple years later on a Roads Less Traveled off-road ride/get-off up in WV that resulted in my "Easter leg." I now seize and pucker-up when facing anything that doesn't resemble dry, level ground when out in the rough. I think I need to man-up and just go do it. Fook the injuries and pain; $hit heals. Drives my wife nuts, but I'm not a run-to-the-doc type for every little injury or when I get hurt. If the bleeding stops and $hit moves/wiggles, I'm good.

Please let me know the next time ya'll are planning on heading out. If I'm free, I'm there.

mud ride

John .... sorry to hear about your knee not feeling any better. Keep us posted on what they find. I hope its something simple.

Everyone needs to look over their bikes. With all the bumps and dumps yesterday you may find some loose or broken parts. On the ride home Mark's GIVI rack came apart and almost fell off. A screw had apparently backed out. While I was cleaning my bike I discovered one of the mud guard bolts had broken off. I guess sometime today between games I will be pulling out the "Easy Out extraction" kit and see if it comes out.

Wish I saw those last night. I ordered a new left mount from Max BMW for 138 clams (for one side) and also ordered the back of the side case. Hate to spend $2k on the aluminum panniers right now so will get the Varios fixed and maybe sell them on ebay at some point in the future.

Also, took your advice Chuck and ordered one of these on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300626814770...witem=&vxp=mtr

Took your advice Eddy and will stay home and rest the leg.

A friend sent me this link I guess to cheer me up and miraculously after watching some spills my leg doesn't hurt as much...

Mike - looks more like "etching" caused by the car wash detergent.
