Sharp things

Hi guys, I am loving this thread.
I have a chisel that I bought in Oz about 25 years ago, it was sold in a hand tool place sort of specialty stuff.
Measures 290mm long (just under 12 inches) 40mm cutting edge (1and 3/4 inches).
Anyway It is supposedly made by an American Knifemaker "Lapen" It has been a long time and I can't remember much more about it but am keen to find out. I google Lapen and keep coming up with Lapin (a finnish knifemaker) so I am after any info you guys may have.
I love this big chunk of Iron, it is so tough and I use it for framing and heavy work demolition etc. It takes (and keeps) a fantastic edge and really takes some abuse the cord grip is original and never come loose.

The other pic is my Puma 4 star that I bought over 30 years ago when subsidising my crappy apprentice wages by fox shooting we would get up to $35 bucks a skin and I think I was only on $100 bucks a week as an apprentice carpenter so it was an easy earner of a night. I was a bit sorry to see they don't appear to be worth much as they are now half what I paid for it all those years ago but it has given me a lifetime of joy so is priceless to me.

Any info appreciated
Michael

I really like the shape. Not a big fan of the Tantos. This one will have to fight it out with my Emerson for pocket time.

Well, not with a Python sorry to say! But here is the only pic I have of it with another knife and one of my huge Russian Dive watches and a cheap Surefire.

So the Strider Terani is a mini. Interesting. (Or that is one BMF Watch!)

And I am hoping that while I am posting here a Hinderer 3" XM 18 I have been lusting after will sell out from under me...

It is the same size as yours, and yes, that watch is 52mm in diameter.....

Sorry for the delay. (Jeez, way to ruin the surprise, Smithy! Guess I could've hinted at that in the PMs though; my bad.)

Had to have a display case custom-made, and had to wait for the sabre to come back so they could measure and mount it. Hobby Lobby was all I could afford -- they take foooooooooorrreeeeeevvvvuuuuuuuur. Should be done today, actually. (Should have been done YESTERDAY, but they were a day behind schedule.)

But it's gonna look badass.

I'll brag on Smithy's allmighty skillz when the pics pop up!
