Nice Tony!

I liked the profile on the original edgie better but couldn't find the older one. The new shape is growing on me.

Look forward to pics dw! I like much of smithy stuff, we got disconnected and never got to collaborate on a blade.

My "chore knife" is an 18"-20" (blade length) golok.

I'm an idiot.

So you found one.. I remember you wanting one and they were hard to find.

Where I was in the Peace Corps, people would cut off about half of a machete blade, making what looked like the bottom knife in that photo. Useless for heavy work, but perfect for detailed, close-in chopping, like opening coconuts or butchering meat.

Most excellent. There's a good saddlery downtown if it doesn't come with a sheath.

No, the one on 2nd. However, I just called them to make sure (had some stuff done long ago) and they now just sell leather and made goods.

Decent stuff? Not too expensive?

Toolfan does holsters, and I need a heavy sheath for my hunter Smithy made. I was thinking of having a go at them myself, under his tutillage.

Speaking of sheaths, the little Boker came with a nicely made leather sheath - don't know if you can really see it in the picture - thick leather, sewn-in welt w/a small belt loop on the back. I may cut that off, as it makes the sheath stick in the pocket.

I picked this SAK Lumberjack up a week or two ago. Besides the main blade it sports the Combo tool and the saw in nice thin package.

Here's a shot compared to my SAK Electrician Plus
