Awesome! I love that style blade, like a drop point or sheeps foot, very useable for utility work and general use.

There is alot of quality out there. What do you want to do with the knife, which size do you prefer, how much money do you want to invest ?

I would suggest something smaller than a full size bowie, and something fairly thick and in a good steel. Mostly everyone picks a too large camp knife. I use to because I am short, and I like big knives, but have gotton into smaller fixed blade knives with blades no longer than about 5in because they are so much more useable. I also have a smaller camp axe that I love for the big stuff which is something else you may consider....

Can I get a decent knife for under $100.00?

I'm not sure what I may need the knife for. General camping stuff I guess. I had my Dad's Air Force Survival knife with the hollow handle but it's gone I think.

I would probably also carry a thinner filet knife for fishing. I like this knife http://www.aerostich.com/russell-tro...ird-knife.html for that.

I have a RAT 7. Though a shorter blade may suit your needs

RAT's are a good choice. There are others, and I might reccomend any of the Becker line, as well as a whole slew of Cold Steel offerings.

I have a Boeker I love, it is tiny by fixed standards but does everything I ask of it. It has about a 5in blade, stag scales and a real leather sheath. Real nice to look at as well.

Frosts Mora model 640, should be 11-15 bucks. Great steel, great knife.
