I don't understand knife laws, wtf difference does it make if you can push a button to open the blade? It's like they watched Vic Morrow in Blackboard Jungle and decided switchblades were God awful dangerous. Locking blade?
![]() So what, why in the hell does that matter? It's intent, I can stick a butter knife in your neck or clean my nails with a switchblade. Make me President and I'll stop this silly shit.

The upper one is a classic "Nessmuk" design, from his book "Woodcraft".
Here's one guy's interpretation of the tools and their uses... http://www.oldjimbo.com/Outdoors-Mag...-his-Tools.pdf

I just took an order, which is something I rarely do these days with my schedule, for a serious killing machine of a blade. 25" overall, tertiary backup weapon to carbine and pistol for a serious dood for whom close quarters combat is in fact his job.
Stay tuned for details.

Here's my modest collection - less modest than when I started reading this thread, of course.
Top Left is my Kershaw Leek, to its right is the Spyderco Tenacious G-10. The others are el-cheapo stock picked up for a song. The green Remington-branded one is ok, good to have if I need to destroy a knife. The black one seems pretty cheap and is sure to fall apart if I put it to any real use. The Kobalt one is very small, but seems to be a bit nicer, and the polished ones are Buck knives that came in a (cheap) set. These will be joined next week by a SOG Flash I that I have on order.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, so here's a few knives for your viewing pleasure:
Starting with the big boys: ![]() The Chris Reeve fixed blades: ![]() The Spydercos: ![]() ![]() the Benchmades: ![]() The Others: ![]() ![]() There's lots more, but that's the ones that were in the box when I went to photograph them (except the kitchen knives- I still use those every day, for the last 20+years).
