I took a few pics with my phone as my camera took a crap early on. I know there were some good pics taken and even a small movie of me crossing a creek lol. I also got to see a new WR250F in action!! SWEET bike too!

Most challenging sections of the dual sport ride were NOT the single track stuff but rather the deeply rutted, slick, slimy gravel forest roads. Cagers really rutted up the roads that had been softened by rain, freeze/thaw. Be patient about the photos. Plenty were taken, including some close ups of the mud.

Thanks for the day, gentlemen!

Thanks ADVridgerunner

Forgot to add thanks to ADVridgerunner. We met him along our trek and he showed us a great waterfall (easy to get to on big bikes too) then escorted us to/through Beuna Vista (via slab) so we could get back in the mud at Peavine. Got back to the wayside about 5:30, coated with mud/spray but without any major damage. Logged a total of 97 miles of mostly dirty stuff including stream crossings, loose fresh gravel, rocks, mud, etc.

Thanks, again men.

Well?

I'm trying to be patient!

I waited all night for the pics! Now, I've got to get ready for church this morning, and I have to do it without looking at dirty pictures first!

I'm glad everyone made it back safe and sound. I'm guessing had I gone... there would have been one casualty.

Me.

Looking forward to seeing the pics later today.

(No pressure!)

My Dad and I rode through Montebello around 2:00 yesterday. Ninja250 and S40. I saw a yellow bike by the fishing lake (did not look street titled-no headlight) was that one of ya'll?

Later on I gave the ADV salute to a Vstrom1000 and Adventure 950 but they must not be members

Sorry you guys had to wait so long. Luckily, Scott (Manganos) and Ed (crossEDup) are used to waiting for me!

Roll the ugliness.

First, we all met at the Wayside where we decided who was going where.

That's where I met up with a couple fellas who were looking to explore the woods. Scott and Ed.

Ed decided to take us to see the fabulous view from the radio tower. I guess we'll just have to take his word for it.

Scott and Brad (me-RPMcMurphy). I should say the trip to this point was mostly dirt road with a nice little inch or sao layer of snot on top of it. It was pretty slick. I even saw some huge (3 ft accross) chunks of ice on it.

This was where I went down first. I learned a lot about logs on this trip. They will just plain take you OUT!

The fellas taking a break while I check myself out.

I'm not sure if this tells the story but there was a lot of mud covered with leaves in this area.

The only damage was cosmetic.

Shortly after this we coasted about a mile downhill to a great little country store. It was in Montebello on some road near some mountain. We went in and got some chili and soon the tarmac guys showed up.

After lunch Ed asked us if we wanted to ride some really gnarly stuff and we said YES! But why is Ed just sitting there in the woods?

And why is Scott waiting on a rock?

Stay tuned and find out!

Well it turned out we werent the only ones looking for a challenge. A whole bunch of Jeeps were out there (and drivers) trying to break something. We watched for a while then they let us pass and we were off!
