Either way, they're neat.

Chris,
Ive gotta get your mailing address. The wife has baby girl clothes she wants to send you guys. I'm amazed at how quickly they amass... Combine that with how quickly they grow & you end up with lots of cloths that have never been worn.

Thanks for the congrats fellas!! I like your avatar so much better now Murf! I couldn't figure what it was before Dogs haven't met her yet, we are still hospitalized with Mamma recovering more, but I did stop in the house today and brought one of her outfits for them to smell...male lab smelled it , then grabbed it and tried to play tug of war I think they will be fine, their behavior went to hyper protective of Mamma already, we both feel they could sense the pregnancy

All my experience with the dogs and kids have been exactly what you saw with the pregnancy....increased protectiveness. It's pretty cool to watch because our dogs started sleeping below the crib immediately. Can't go wrong with the Labs either.. Fantastic, loyal and loving dogs.

Chris, congrats!!! Mine just turned 6 months. You are quickly going to find out that sleep and money are totally overrated. I had a slightly different experience with my dogs. My Basset (Dixie) could care less about Sam, nor did she care that the war department was pregnant. Dixie is also my dog. My beagle mut (Bandit) has always been a momma's boy. He was always at Karin's side. Once she got pregnant, he didn't have anything to do with her. Now, he and Sam are best buds. Sam grabs his ears, kicks and punches him, and Bandit just sits there with him. They are inseparable. Bandit still won't have anything to do with Karin. From the minute she got pregnant, he knew he wasn't the baby anymore. It's weird what dogs can sense.

Total side note, Bandit became very depressed recently. Dixie was not doing very well health wise. Keep in mind these dogs have been together for over 10 years. Last Friday, we took Dixie to the vet. She has aggressive bone cancer. She'll likely be dead in a couple of weeks. I swear, Bandit knew before we did. He's still depressed. In fact, you'd think he was terminal, not Dixie.
