My youngest daughter and I went to Reno yesterday to the Pylon Racing School. It was an absolutely perfect day for watching fast aircraft doing their stuff.

Czechmate, a Yak-11 that's been just a wee bit modified. It turned some laps yesterday at an average speed of 477 MPH, which is quicker than it's ever done before. Neat little plane.

I hear there are some pretty wild pilots flying those acrobatic planes. A Pitts is no place for a kitty.

Great shots!

While I do love our own American flight demo teams, the Snowbirds are my favorite. The things that they can do with trainers in large formations is truly amazing.

Thats a nice Beaver for sure. There are not too many privately owned ones, for good rea$on

This privately owned Beaver on amphib floats I took pics of last month is owned by a pretty old pilot. I heard he flipped it a couple of weeks ago when he did a water landing with the wheels down. This was his second time flipping it for the same reason. Maybe its time to hang up his licence.

Rivets are hard!

Here's a couple of patches I've done.

So far we've done a lap joint, these two patches, a joggle/flush joint, right now I'm working on a "box" and next will be a frame/bulkhead patch for a cessna empennage.
