Beautiful country is also unforgiving country under IFR. Check out the Innsbruck plate as an example.

Guess I'm going to have to dust off my gaming pc, and hook it up to the 55", and do some serious flying, then.

I seem to do okay with the Lear jet. Does somebody here know what the approach speed should be for a Lear jet?

Thanks. I seem to be coming in at around 120 or 130, with the plane heavy from just going around the pattern at the airport after taking off.

Lear 60 is vref is 132KIAS with 2 crew, 800 pounds of people, and landing fuel (diversion up to 200nm + 45 mins). Higher altitude airports, while not changing indicated approach speeds is another factor.

Add 10 kts to the 132 ref speed,, place yourself one dot high on the VASI, add 10 kts tailwind and see what happens.

I haven't figured out my flight simulator well enough to add tailwind. Sometimes I'll change the weather settings to "severe thunderstorm" and try to land.

To add to the real world variables try and see if MS flight simulator can add a wet runway component .
