Nice! Reminds me of the Millenium Falcon.

I wonder how it cools correctly since the airflow is backwards.

You have to run an airplane engine at high power settings. You have to dump a lot of residual heat.

What about the computer? Would it compensate for the altitude past regular terrestrial altitudes?

Probably has down draft cooling.

What kind of gearbox is that?

Could you use the motorcycle gearbox minus the clutch by using the correct gear ratio?

I earned my private and instrument in this (and several others) Cessna Skyhawk (172R):

I have my tailwheel endorsement and somewhere around 30 hours in command of this fun American Champion Citabria (7GCAA):

Also around 40 hours in this (and two others) Beech Duchess (BE-76) earning my multi and commercial multi certificates:

No pictures of the Piper Lance (PA-32R-300, non-"T" tail model) in which I earned my high-performance signoff and have about 30 hours in command of.

More aviation photos...

Flying

I love flying......

Now if I can just get my hands on a nice Twin Otter on floats...you'll never see me again!......only the Trout and Walleye will know for sure where I am.....

Just having a stroll around a little country airpark...

When this showed up for gas.

It was pretty sweet.

Fast, too.

I did all of my training out of KGGG as part of my college degree program. I've flown into KDAL (once in a Skyhawk and once at night in the Duchess), KDTO, and a lot of airports in east Texas and the surrounding area. I haven't flown since the day I passed my commercial multi checkride, which was almost 3 years ago. I hope to do some more flying again when wife (who is a CFI/CFII/MEI) starts her AF training.

Cool.

After my A&P I'm thinking I'm going to move on to flying lessons.

Dunno to what end though.

I initially started to go down the A&P path, but soon switched to flying only--I had no desire to be a career A&P. My wife, on the other hand, stuck it out and has her A&P in addition to the flight ratings. Maybe that's why she's going to the Air Force and I'm stuck in a cube in Las Colinas.

Good luck to you! Where are you working on your A&P?

In the Av. maintenance program at TCC NW.

After the A&P I'll finish my basics and they'll give me a 4 year tech degree.

UNT is opening up a "Aviation logistics" prog. I might jump into that since my wife is going there.
