So I should mark that as a potentially dangerous spot for someone hauling ass?

I used to work around Boise City for a couple of years and it does change since the wind blows 100 all the time. Just watching the news and they are talking about the hurricane force winds in Miami when the panhandle has that daily.

Yup. In fact that entire two mile stretch is sketchy. When I was up there a couple of weeks ago, we'd just got some rain and the sand was nice and I was really wanting to open it up, but because of the oilfield type locations on side roads and having ran into trucks up there on Sunday mornings, I refrained

We've been lucky so far since we haven't been hammered with wind as much as normal. A couple of years ago, the sand got terrible, but last year someone ran a blade through and helped it out a little bit.

Have you been on the New Mexico section any at all? If it go out through Kenton that would not be a bad place to ride. It starts getting into nicer country from there on.
