My wife frowned at going to race idea. She reminded me it was HER weekend.
Spanky when you go(either place) I'll pit for you( as long as all I do is encourage you) I haven't ever pitted for bikes. I used to run a pure stock car though. I prefer Kellyville as Harrah seems kinda high priced from the spectator side. |

Hey red!!! Might have you watch a gas can for me. I had one can marked "PeMex" thinking no one would steal it...they did. Then someone told me that's the good stuff...next time mark it Shell or some other American brand...they won't steal that can!!
...times have changed!

Who's riding this week-end?
I want to go riding this week-end. DS, trails, whatever.
I have some places I go, but wouldnt mind learning some new ones. I can go anytime from Thurs thru Sun evening. Western Ark, or anywhere in OK. I got an extra sticker if you want to try out Stillwater 500. I want to map out some new trails in Kinta if anyone is up for that. Gruber, Mill Creek, Wolf Pen, Clayton, Scipio, I'm game. |

BTW- I could always trailer someplace too. Edit: I could possibly do Friday instead of Sunday, but I won't know for sure until Thursday night.

I have no real preference. I just dont like slab. If the destination is more than hour worth of black top to get to, I would just rather trailer over with gear and enjoy the dirt.
Prefs. Kinta, cause I am wanting to map out new trails for other purposes Stillwater, cause I got this memebership and aint never been. Talihena, advance scouting for the March 6-9 party.. Most places we are be trailering too. 'cept Gruber. I got trailer room for 2-12. |

well, Talihina is 162 miles away from me
Kinta is 104 miles Stillwater is 65 miles Considering that it's a day trip, I'd think the closer, the better. Obviously, your mileage will vary from mine, so I suggest Kinta as a compromise. I've never been there and am up for an adventure. I can probably handle most anything you can throw at me. I'll be on my KLR and fear little. What say you? Which is better, Friday or Sunday? (Keeping in mind that I may have to crap out of Friday at the last minute)

Kinta is cool with me. I want to scout out some more trails for the quad trips we take down there. I'm on the XR650L so we are riding similar. I'm a 4wheeler/crotchrocket jocket turned DS rider. Very new to the DS scene. So you will we waiting on me...I get there, just slow on steep hills and rocks.
You can trailer over to my place, or meet me in Muskogee, or ride over and trailer up with me, I just got the old beat up pick up and the trailer, so no luxury ride from here. Got straps and all so do worry bout that if you decided to just ride over.Kinta can be just about anything you want it to be. Dual Sport, woods trails, rock climb (which I aint good at). There is water crossings so I always take extra shoes and socks. Gas, food, water aint too far. I got GPS, and have ridden it before. So getting lost aint a factor. As for "crapping out" on Friday, thats cool. I'll just ride the street bike over to Ark. and bald the back tire .

OK. sounds good to me. For simplicity, I'll probably just pull my own trailer behind my Honda Accord. Hopefully we can stage somplace not too deep in the wilderness.
This way I can boogie home directly if my bike spontaneously breaks or if we have late day. I would only expect the latter. The KLR has been rock reliable (fingers crossed). So just tell me when and where to meet you. Either on the way, or at the final destination, whichever. Early departure is ideal. I too have GPS but no topos of the area, so I'll be following your lead. Check PM for my contact info.

I checked. Kinta is 199 miles from me. I was interested till then. If you ever head towards Stillwater, let me know as its only 30 miles for me.
