Its just west of kurtz IN off of 58. Go a couple miles and you will see a very tall hill strait infront of you, turn left at the top and follow that road about 2 maybe three miles, you will see it on the right.

He doesnt charge anything and dont ask him if its ok to ride there he hates that it gets crowded on the weekend but there are lots of hard (VERY) places to get to so you can get away from people if you want to (or if you can).

Its known for the hills.

EDIT: im going again tomorrow if you would like to join me let me know.
Hmmm...sounds interesting. I may have to check it out sometime. Thanks for the invite, but I doubt I can make it tomorrow. I rode today so now I have to get some work done tomorrow.

BTW - It looks like you are running K760's. How do you like them and what kind of mileage are you able to get out of a rear? I've got a D606 out back right now with about 2000 miles on it. It'll need replaced in the next 500 or so and am trying to figure out what to get.

The 760's are ok, actually when there still pretty new they work really well. But I dont think there going to last long. Im still deciding on tires to run, I doubt ill ever completly decide on one tire but ive tried d606's, these 760's, a couple kenda 270's and im going to put a d908 on soon. Out of these (excluding the d908) I liked the 606 the best. It seemed to last the longest and provided good traction over varing terrain. If I still feel like trying somethign new after the 908 rather than go back to the 606 ill try michelin's desert tire.

Front tires, the 760's work the best so far. Not too far off from a 606 though.

Try the Michelin baja before you get the desert. I had it on my 640 and I loved it, great grip and last okay. I do not think that the desert will do as well as the baja in the wet.

In any case, tires never last long enough and never have enough grip

If you want a good tire for offroad and one that will last on the road for any length of time............well forget it it doesn't work that way.

My suggestion buy a second set of wheels(just a suggestion I know they are not cheap) or haul your bike when you offroad it,no sense in spooning on a new set of knobbies only to waste them riding to your favorite trails.

With that being said I run K270's on my KLR and have not yet been able to not make it through something or up anything I could or would have done with full knobs.......and can still squeeze 8k miles out of one. Now "hiljak" somehow has like 15k miles on his 270 not sure what his trick is.

Oh im done kidding myself about tires, I know I wont find one that lasts. Im fine with that, I just like trying different ones and seeing how they work in different places. Im to the point that when the tires start to suck off road I chuck'em. I keep them around and put them back on when I know im going to be doing alot of commuting but otherwise I try to keep something that will work well offroad on there most of the time, regardless of when im going to be off road again. That way whenever I get an opportunity to ride I dont have to compromise.

8K my front tires dont last that long! We ride alot different, I hope to get about 2K out of a decent knobbie. And thats fine with me.

you must have money to burn on tires....if I couldn't get more than 2k out of tires I would go broke.......plus I am talking about my KLR it's not a tire burner by any means.

oh and our riding styles are different I remember while Tpar and I were going out for another ride @ Redbird I think you were laying on the ground half naked and looking a little whooped................damn kids

I was beat that day, didnt even ride all that hard either. Dont knwo what it was but man that sun felt GOOD

I rode pretty well today though, out at motosupreme. Nothing above my head but my goal was to ride for atleast 4 hours at a decent pace and only taking one break that wasnt too long. Well I had to add an extra break but overall I rode pretty well.

I have to do some riding for a friend to video tape, that will take about an hour tomorrow morning (kinda boring) and then I hope to get in more than 5 hours tomorrow. Ive started working on a track out at motosupreme so I can time myself and see how fast I can get at it, hopefully I can show you guys when im done. It'd be somethign fun to test ourselves on.

Time just seems to slip away. Must be too busy. Think about the big R sometimes. The wife and I went by your place a few weeks ago, wanted to talk to you dad but looked like no one was home so we didn't stop. How often do you make it home?

Tires

I have been really happy with a rear trials tire. Pirelli Decent road wear as long as I don't go moto on the street. I usually run low air n the dirt and carry a small pump in my tank nag to pump it up before I hit the street. Plugs into a power outlet on my bike. Works well. The front I run a twinduro continental. Works ok. Not really good in mud or hard street riding but that's why they call it dualsport I guess. I would rather be happy in the dirt than the street. I also ran a trials tire on a wr450 and had no complaints. At the end of it's life I was missing 6 middle knobs in a row in the center and it was still hookng up.
Cross ur fingers for me I'm going to a specialist in Indy To check out my head issues. I've had massive migraines, dizzy spells, short term memory I just don't have. Probably end up with a labotomy. Oh well as long as I can still twist the grip, I'm happy

We'll see if I can keep up with you on that KX.
