If I was Jerry after I got the KLR unstuck I would have reved the engine and dumped the clutch and covered you with mud.

Jerry. If you would have went to the left on that 4in wide strip of grass you would have made it no problem.

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

Atleast it will serve it's pack mule purpose. Is that a pipe bomb behind the front wheel?

I was eyeballing those wr 250's when bought my KLR last summer, every time I am off road I wish I had one, every time I am on the highway I appreciate my decision to buy the KLR. Still if I came acrossed a used one for a good deal I would have a difficult decision. The WR is lighter and has a much higher power to weight ratio than the big pig. You two will have no problem leaving all the heavier DS bike behind in the woods

Poor Jerry !!!!

But wait till Jerry gets his new WR250R out----then it will be a different story.
Here's a little video I made on a ride that Jerry went with me on and he rode his brand new shiny WR250R.

During this ride Jerry told me he's taking the bike back to the dealer.

I said what ?????

Yeh----but they'll have to give me $9,000

I'm tellin' yall' ---he's an animal on that 250----It was like Clark Kent turned into Superman.
Don't let that shy innocent face fool you.

I was riding very hard and fast on a twisty dirt mountain ridge and after a few miles I thought I'd stop and wait for Jerry as I thought he might not want to ride that fast-----he dang near run over me when I let off the throttle.
Looks like Jerry will have to go up to a 4xxxxl on that new helmet now....

Friends!

You can always tell who your friends are. They are the ones going for their camera's when your in deep ----. After I got out and caught my breath, I was waiting for tpar to come through and fall to the water side of that crap hole. Yeah--I was getting the camera out.

Now to reply to other peoples posts:
Lufin--Didn't have the energy at the time.
Backmarker--New helmet on order.
Platterdr--Mark says nitrous but really a shoulder launched anti-Harley
rocket mounted to skid plate.
Tpar--In this case the battery wasn't dead, just too low a charge to
crank the engine with the starter. The ECU and EFI would have
plenty of power to operate. The starter is the largest energy
hog on the bike.
Mark--What can I say. Roads like that deserve to be enjoyed to the
fullest extent.
Tpar again--Payback is a bitch. Look for the camera!

Snow riding anyone?

Anyone else wuss out this morning and hop in the cage?

I've been riding everyday, but the Mrs made me promise not to ride if the roads are slick. The balmy 16 degrees didn't help, but the snow pushed me over the edge and into the truck seat!

Maybe next year I'll get some studded tires and give it a go...

I took the cage also, last week I tried to ride with just a dusting of snow and lost the front end twice, never fell, but still did not like it. My wife is the same asked me not to ride

I look at my bike everyday. Does that count??
I only drive 4 minutes to work. I can't justify getting dressed and undressed for a half hour to ride 4 minutes. Plus it's damn cold.
