Saturday morning in Brown Co.
I plan to ride over and meet Tim at McDonald's at 9AM Saturday. I assume that means rain or shine as Tim is no wimp. Think you have time to do a little ride around the county before you have to head back north?
Neat video on the Scorpa T-Ride. It looks like they have dropped the Yamaha motor this year and replaced it with a 2-stroke? The Scorpa US importer, Ryan Young, has his headquarters in Shelbyville, KY just about 25 minutes east of Louisville. They had a prototype there a year or so ago but they didn't expect to import it as it would sell for over $9K. |

ChevalDeFer - Thanks for the great video. It brought back some great memories from many years ago. I look forward to riding up to the fire tower again. PAUL - that Scorpa reminds me of my old Beta Alp. That was a great bike but it wasnt great at trials or fast trail. Still lots of fun though and would like to have it back

NOT boring, you're a good fiction writer, buddy http://woodsrat.com/one-last-ride-in...tional-forest/
I read slow because I'm dyslexic; just read part one and have to go to work now. Whenever I read about an old DT1 or early 70's DT on the trails, I cringe, recalling my first, a 73. That thing was a pig, and I'm happy not to have it. It was ratty and all I could get after a season of detasseling corn. The second one, a 78, was a world away. High plastic fenders, monoshock, it was the rats ass to me. Put a huge sprocket on the back and on the tight mountainous trails, kicked ass on all the guys buying XL650's. That one I wish I kept. Left it in the Philippines. The XL's were nice too, and they got me back on the fireroad type trails. My "new" SP250 handles a little better, but heavier and no powerband

She scoots out pretty good. Slows down for the mud, so she's probably smarter than a lot of us too

It was nice to see the mud in the video. I about forgot what good ole Indiana mud looked like. Maybe this winter I can sling some of that around instead of Texas sand.
