For me Sundays would work best, but I could always be sick on a Saturday if necessary. I haven't been to a tech day so I am not sure how much gets done, or how much to plan on getting done. I think the doo has to be my first priority, I will email EagleMike and see if he has any in stock. My bike has under 5k on it, do the valves need checked?
Thanks for the offer of tools Hilljak, that solves one problem. BTW I believe this is what is known as the 22cent mod http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthread.php?t=41112. They call it that because that is how much the washer to shim the needle costs. |

I'm interested in coming if the weather is decent so I wouldn't care what day. I need to check my valves again but it's not due for another few thousand miles so I'll probably just wait. I don't need to do anything else. I'd just come to meet some new folks and hang out.

I could also possibly be talked into bring a selection of valve shims if I happen to have them. I'm home and don't have any manuals here at the house. I know they're shim over bucket. What size (in MM) are the shims that the KLR's take? 27MM? or 29MM? Anyone know off the top of their head?

There is a guy on Glenn's website asking where to ride around Bedford. One of you want to enlighten him? http://www.klr650.net/forums/showthr...598#post636598

Allright, I'll offer up my garage for a tech day. I think I have ample space and tools and such. Should be able to fit 4 or 5 bikes inside with room to work. Got 2 bike stands (MX style), can get a craftsman bike jack. Compressed air. Heat. Cable TV. Wireless internet if you have a laptop. Gas grill.

Much better than my old detached garage with two bare bulbs for light and a brick floor which eats dropped nuts and bolts. ![]() EDIT:Hilljak also offered up his place for use, not sure where he is located. Glockowner screwed with this post 01-18-2009 at 02:58 PM |

Plenty of parking too. And lights. Saturdays or sundays are usually good for me.
