Ya Tim the old chebby would go out in the yard. She'll start. Depending on how many are going to participate we might be better off at Backmarkers place. I've got 2 full bays to work in so that's 4 or 5 bikes. Where are you located Backmarker?

Platterdr we need to get that Z lined out for some woods action. Did you get that jet kit put in yet? And a new plug? Does it have the hole cut in the top of the airbox already? Stock pipe?

THAT'S FREAKIN SWEEEET!!! I'm pretty good at tire swaps. Been lacing and truing wheels forever. Got a pretty good method for balancing too.

Well thats the problem. I"m in southern In. Close to Rockport area. Guess guys could truck their bikes down? I have a good dirt hill to backup to for unloading. Also Subway sandwich and Wendys next door, Pizza 3 miles away. I think most of you are farther north so it may not work for everyone. The offer stands....

location really doesn't matter to me as i really don't have anything to do on my bike. i will prolly give someone a hand if needed, or just stand around a bs.

so, which ever location works best for group is cool by me.

The DRZ has a full FMF exhaust it has the 3x3 mod done and has been jetted right as far as everything I have read.

And no I havn't gotten new jets yet. I want to replace the 3 jets and just make sue thats not the problem before I move on. I'm confused why the thing won't start it ran fine before. It did sit for about 2 months and now nothing. A guy on Thumper Talk almost guarantees it's a clogged pilot jet he says the will clog up but still look fine

Doesn't make sense but I hope he's right.

As far as tech/BS day I say give it a week or so I need to order fork seals and new boots or neoprene covers.

Anyone besides Roaddad ever do seals on a KLR?

Actually you have seen it. RoadDad was riding it when we all met at Bedford and rode.

We should have a beer drinking contest, especially for those of us that won't be working on our bikes.

Actually, I'll probably be a no show depending on how far south it is. It would be about 9 hours round trip for me if it was in rockport.

I have a DR but have always been curious. Which part is the doo?

I'm no mechanic by any means, but that just doesn't look right to me

I know the Doo has been done but not sure when they need a new doo. The bike has 14k on it.

If I remember correctly, it scooted right along through the Martin County forest gravel roads just fine.

Roaddad had 2 KLR's both were pretty much the same. I actually got what used to be RoadSis, then it somehow went to R_ad. Now it's the blue bike with the big green tank. Until I get ahold of some green Krylon Fusion

The bike is in good shape it went all the way to Oregon last summer with no issues. Hope it hauls me around for a few years with no issues.
