And a GREAT job he will do.

Thanks again Skyclad for getting this going. I need to go get one of the tags, but I am enjoying watching the others have fun.

Thanks guys...

Alabama Tag o Rama

Hey Fatdog, what are you going to do with a tag? You don't even have a camera much less know how to post a photo. Let's ride Sunday.

Only problem is, I missed out on the easy tag of Barbers (7 miles from my house), and have to find the water tower tomorrow.

My wifely bits is taking a motorcycle safety course this weekend in Pelham, so I will ride to see her, and continue on to the tower. If somebody else tags it, stuff happens.

Made scratch chicken noodle soup tonight, with good cornbread so she would have comfort food when she got home tonight. Yeah, I'm a foodie.

TAG! Got it this morning. Glad I put the liner in my jacket. I would have been rather chilly without it! Saw a lot of recently cleared off land, some gas wells, a couple of hunters (who waved nicely) and IT. Yeah, the ladder coming out of the window to the roof is pretty cool. Edited to include the location N33 9.0557, W86 59.9182. Top of Watertower road, in the Marvel community, just into Bibb County, by way of Shelby County Rd. 10.

The next item is this. I had a better pic from a different location, but since I don't want anybody to be roadkill, I decided that this location is safer.

The better pic....

Your choice, I guess. Had a good morning, my wife is progressing nicely at the safety class (held at the Pelham, Al, HD dealer). Hope all are doing well, and I am going to have a beer now.

When I started off, it was 38, and by a little after noon it had gotten up to around 50. I think.

Love having a "good" excuse to ride. Had a pretty good time of it today.

The problem with the "safe" picture of the next item is that it makes it too bloody easy, but I didn't want to have folks get splattered on the overpass like the better pic.

Still cranky that I missed the Barber's opportunity.

Anyways, time to drink more beer. Love this time of day

Got the roadkill view:

Sloss Furnaces, 1st Ave N overpass, downtown Brimingham:

Fortunately it was Sunday afternoon so traffic was light.

Next one up in a few minutes.

Next!

Ok, this might a little more difficult than recent Tags.

It is located in a Nature Preserve in Central Alabama. It is a popular swimming spot in the summer, and the fall colors can be spectacular in the Preserve.

The Preserve shares it's name with a nearby water treatment works and a landfill. Part of it's name is the centerpiece of a Fall tradition of stuffing your face to the max.

Fair warning, although the Preserve is open 7 days a week, they close the gates at 4PM!!

Good job Wallybob! I hope you enjoyed the ride on Co. Rd. 10. Turned out to be a nice day for a ride, even if it is a little cool.

Zookster, that was a quick grab. Good job! Now if I can figure out the new tag location!!! So far I have no idea.
