How low will it go???
They're all over for $400 or less. I doubt you'll see them go much lower, especially when you consider the 660 has less functionality by most accounts.

The 550 is still king.

Do you have a source for this info on the 660? (I know the limit is general knowledge for the 550.) Also, do you happen to know if the 660 will support WMA files?

The Zumo 660 will only take 10 routes in comparison to 50 for the Zumo 550.

full comparison is right here

missing something?

from what I read on the Garmin site, is that the 660 doesn't come with a motorcycle power cable like the 550! WTF! I was willing to wait for it to be comercially available before buying either a 550 or a 660, but if it won't have the power cable then my choice is made for me.....550 it is.

Doesn't the 660 use a USB cable for power? Should be relatively easy and cheap to rig something up if it does.

Would the power cable for the 550 work with the new 660?

my reason is

for that price and seeing how it was offered for the 550 that they could at least include one with the 660. I know that I could power it with a powerlet or some other type of switched source, but I just thought that they would include one. I wish they would show some pictures of the mount, and some different views of the 660 so I would know if I could use the 550's power cable for the 660. Then again, its not offered as an accessory on their site.

is it stated somewhere that the power cable is not included? Maybe it was just over looked when they were doing the write up. I mean if it comes with the motorcycle mount and all the, wiring isnt that expensive.

I have been dealing with someone at Garmin the last few days and she is sending me a 660... she assured me the MC power cable is in fact included and that they just missed it when writing the description. She actually called over to the warehouse and had someone unpack one to be sure.

Mine should be here late this week or early next so I will let you know along with my story of how I got this thing, unreal!

Thats what I thought, for that price tag and including everything but the wiring seemed a bit ridiculous. I am tempted to purchase the 660. I like some of the new software features they have added to the 660. Would these eventually come out for the 550 or will it only be on the 660 I wonder.
