My new headlight:

It's a Kragen 7" HID that I busted the mount off of a long time back, when I crashed my DR650.

So... I JB welded a bunch of stuff to it. I'm using a turnbuckle to adjust the height.

BTW, discovered something odd. When the bike hit big bumps, like a curb, itshuts off. It starts right back up, so its nothing catastrophic, but its just weird.

also, the paint on the outside of the gas tank is chipped, with a little rusty spot. Terrible? (about the size of a half dollar)

probably your kickstand safety switch. when you hit a bump your kickstand moves and kills engine.

you can bypass that switch along with the clutch switch, just do a search.... it's pretty easy to do.

I am still looking for one of these bikes.
I had a line on an older one, but it has title problems the guy is trying to work out.

I was out yesterday on the TU250 through the pinelands (on the street) and was thinking it was a VERY good day for riding in the woods.
Moist (no dust) cool but not cold, sunny!

Did you mount the pelicans to the cycleracks pannier rack? What is the height of the boxes? I'm going to mount some boxes via those mounts and trying to imagine what they look like.

Seat Concepts group buy

There's a poll going on over on tw200forum.com for a seat group buy. The seat kit will be from Seat Concepts and will offer more comfort for longer rides. If we get 20+ orders we get 30% off. Check it out and chime in:

Thumb Seating Sir?

Thanks for the link.
I am in for the group buy.
Not that I will be doing any riding until spring (May) with the icy ground
Snow riding would be fun but the ice is deadly...

The weather today was pretty hot. 101* here and my elevation was anywhere from 100' above sea level to 100' below sea level.

My bike is set up as follows:
Stock intake
Stock Exhaust
Idle mixture screw set at 2 turns out from being lightly seated
132.5 Main Jet
Maybe try a #130 main?.

Usually a #128 or #130 main is used...I'm between 400 ft and 1500 ft above sea level...I use the #130,no issues as of yet....pilot screw form seated position ='s 2-2.5 turns out.....noticeable difference!!!!.

Yuasa makes an AGM battery...#...YTZ7S...a bit smaller, yes, but you can "stuff" the box with who knows what and it will stay put.
