you guys have some great sounding rides happening.

Will look forward to joining you soon. Got the new big Yuasa in the DRZ on the weekend, brake fluid changed, fresh oil, should be ready to go!

I think every newbie should run this in the spring. don't you think so P?

....all I can say is.... what a blast it was! If I wasn't so paranoid about being able to make it back before I totally ran out of steam it would'a been perfect. Nothin like ice/snow to develop some much needed bike handling skills (the snow tasted fine btw) Thanks for taking me along Shipwreck - it was just the intro I needed to get me hooked. Those trails will be really sweet when they're dried out a bit - alowing for a quicker pace. Nuthin like that boots-filling-up-feeling when my little KLX decided to stop thumping in the middle of the water crossing .... ah, the memories.

Look'n forward to some more fun this summer!

Any local Ottawa gravel/sand pits/fields?

I'm looking for a local Ottawa (west-end preferrable, but beggers can't be choosers) open/accessable (ie- not tresspassing) gravel/sand pit to practice technique in. Doesn't have to be large.

Anyone know of one?

Many thx,
Pete

Missed it!!!
Looks like you had a nice ride planned.
Just got back from a couple of hours of playing around on the Limerick Forest backroads. Beautiful day for riding...

Only the best yeah! However this little beasty pumps out some old school espresso....
I have the bike at bedsore. Gonna do the chain and wash. I also ordered the Happy trails Teton panniers yesterday- so no more details looking like a nuntz with a kit bag on my back.

We go almost every weekend. No single track, mostly gravel roads and double track. Depending on who is coming (bikewise and skill wise) the trip gets planned accordingly.
No charge, really just a bunch of people looking to have someone to ride with.
Send your email address to get on the distribution list, come one weekend or every weekend, choice is yours.

I look forward to meeting like minded spirits , May long is kick off weekend!
