Oh, the rally. took me a few minutes to figure that out.

So, yesterday's challenge was just a little warm up for the real deal...

Oh yeah baby! I've got fresh D606s, the Big Gun exhaust and the KLR motor....people can hear you coming, that's for sure. Wear ear plugs for sure!

Vibrations? I look at that as a feature rather than a drawback!

hey juames - I finally got the quiet insert for the BG....does it get installed at the tail end or the front end of the silencer? Also, where does the spark arrester go?

Take read end cap off...quiet insert goes pointing in leave spacer out and then put screen in! Might solve some of the popping issue too!

A big gun get quieter? Even with the spud, I always thought they were the loudest of the bunch.

Still pretty loud...specs say 92-94db with insert I got mine for when I'm riding with Ted...so I can hear if my bike is still running!

Yikes - Global Warming is Real!

As Stephanie and I got home from our Parry Sound Shake and Bake Ride, we saw this as we got close to home:

Sure does make you want to go out into a bug infested swamp, when it's +37C...

Last year at this time we went on a ride with the BMA and we had snow, up on Kennelly Mountain and the roads around Calabogie.

I know which I'd prefer, if given a choice. You can dress for cold and wet, but there's only so much you can take off when it's hot.

I know what you mean. I made a run to Montreal today. I couldn't believe that I was doing 120kph and I was still hot! Still... way better than winter!

I'll be buying some lighter gear tomorrow. Time for some real MX stuff.

Got the quiet insert installed last night....rode to work this morning and while not "quiet", it is very noticeably "quieter" now....not so much BRRRRAAAAAPPPPPP as BBRRAaaaaaaap. I like it. Also got the barkbusters installed. I am now like juames! Only my KLR is teal blue. Still a bit of popping...now Ted, by adjust the carb do you mean the whole jet/needle kit business or something else?

Yes the whole shebang, and Krylon Fusion from Walmart, spend about 40 bucks and you'll get rid of teal look
