Thanks Shipwrek. I don't know if you did me a favor though. Now I don't want to wait till next year. It sounds like my kind of machine. Low maintenance, light, fun, modifiable...
Gawd, now I need two bikes. One for fun and another just for fun.
What???? Know of anybody that has a bike that's no fun?

I saw that one too. Looks real nice. 7700k. Just broken in. Too much for me right now, but a guy can dream.

bet ya you could bang it down to 3500 after you knock the tire, sprockets and what ever else you see! you would still need a bunch of other stuff to keep it safe--skid plate, lever guards(bark busters) case guards rad guards to say the least.... that conversion might help your price???? Most used drz's should come with that stuff, that one has nothing. $4k price is too high.

Let's see what comes out in the fall and winter. Prices drop when the snow flies. It's not like I'm stuck riding a bicycle. Must...be ...patient.

hi all,

looking for 4/5/6 people to proof ride this track/route, pm me if your seriously interested. Big bikes can do this but you better know how to ride and accept the possible brusies. Nobbies required, Gps, patience for finding your way. 2/3 day weekend camping. hopefully last weekend of June. Truck trailer and spot support available. 700-800 km over a few days.

hey guys, first post in this thread. I'm north of Kingston, not far from the routes you describe.

I'm signing up for the Rally Connex RAP this year. This other route looks interesting too.

I'm also on a DRZ400, but I'm probably cautious and slow compared to some...but no place I'd rather be then out on an adventure ride!

Shift work

I am going to be very envious of you guys this summer. I am on shift work and my days off are going to probably be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I believe my rides will be mostly solo. At least I have 3 days off and don't start work until 3 pm the fourth day. I wonder how the wife will handle the fact that I am gone camping most of my days off.
Oh well.

Hey Frazman...and others

Is the K&P Trail open for bikes? (motorized) I was under the impression that it was a hiking/cycling trail only.

I am transferring back to Eastern Funtario (Kingston, Perth, Ottawa) soon and would love to get hooked up with some good dirt rides. I'm on a F650GS and it loves to get dirty. Me too!

Facebook group for Eastern Ontario riders

I thought of maybe starting a Facebook group for E. Ontario riders to keep things organized. Use it as a ride board and shop talk vehicle for riders in our area. Any thoughts?

I think it's a terrible idea. No one uses Facebook... what's that anyway?!?!?!?!

Besides, we're a bunch of posers who don't ride... we sip latte's!!!!!

....where do I sign up?
