I think thats a fair price. You could probably get more for it if you aren't in a hurry to sell and found the right buyer. Under $1,000 it would probably sell pretty fast.

I own a 1980 250 XL. Its my first bike and I love it. Not in amazing condition like the ones I've seen on here but it runs damn good. It has what others call "character" Lol. I'll post a photo when I can. Love these forums

here's a photo of "The Beast" as i call it... people often refer to it as the bike Rambo would ride.

Here is my Honda XL 250 1973

Bought the bike about 8 years ago... dented, scratched, ripped upholstery, rotten tires, shut brakes, rusted exhaust etc. etc... did some work and this is what she looks like today...

She lives!

I *finally* got the putt-putt's headlight case rewired. Thanks to tokyoklahoma for pointing out that the wiring diagram would be in the back of my Haynes manual (I had looked in the electrical chapter). It wasn't too hard to follow, but I had to re-pinch some of the connectors to get them to fit tight.

Here she is, waiting to pass safety inspection:

I've put about 10 miles on her around my house. She runs fine. Starts on first kick too.

I'm selling both of my Hondas. Both are in great condition and need no work at all. I have a 1975 xl250 with 11,000 miles and a 1976 xl350 with 9,000 miles. Both are street legal with clear titles.

See the links below for the Craigslist ads. I'm located in Maryland.

The 1975 xl250:

EDIT: both bikes are now sold.

I recently finished my SL100 build. I'm going to post a build thread shortly but I thought I would show off some pics on this thread first.
This '71 was given to me after sitting behind a garage for 10 years. It was amazingly complete. Side panels were the only thing missing.
I really enjoy the steampunk look so I decided to go that direction with this build.

Hmm...interesting

Can't say that it really does it for me...I like steam also, but maybe not on a bike??

Still, good effort, a lot of work has gone into it.

I think the tire tread pattern is too modern for this look and I'd lose the dog leg levers. I also think the engine color is a bit too contemporary.

That's the point. Using old and new.
