Brian,

The match for the Ignition 2 jacket are the Gear 2 pants?

What happens to the leather when it gets wet? Does it become water logged?

Hey GB,

Thanks for reaching out! The Gear 2 pants are designed to be paired with the Ignition 2 jacket. The Gear 2 pants do not become waterlogged when they're exposed to rain. Monaco cowhide doesn't retain much (if any) water. Water typically beads right off. My associate, Drew, has the original Ignition jacket, which uses the same Monaco cowhide. He's been riding in it for the last 5 years, year-round, in Philadelphia weather on his SV650S. The only comment he made was to make sure the hydratex liner is over your boots because water will get past the Dynax mesh and exit down the liner. He learned the hard way.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Ride safely,

-Hi-Viz Brian

That means so much Sammax! It's really nice to start our day with comments like these! I appreciate your patience with my reply. I was off yesterday getting some much needed riding in. I will wait a few hours for most of our Geeks and staff to get to work, then gonging will be done.

From myself and our entire team, !

-Hi-Viz Brian

P.S. - If the coffee isn't strong enough for you this morning, here's a little something to start your day!

Just a shout out to Brian and the rest of the folks at RevZilla. I bought two Schuberth helmets and then returned my Wife's as the fit wasn't good for her. The return was done flawlessly and my card refunded as soon as the helmet was in their hands.

Brian helped me throughout the whole ordeal and it was exceptional!

Thanks for great customer service and a hugh selection of products.

You folks rock!!!

Now if I can only get the Wife to pick another helmet..........................

Thank you so much, MotoBoss! I have to say, our Returns Department and Gear Geeks make my job easy. I'm glad we could help.

Have a great weekend!

Gaerne SG10 and SG11

What is the difference between the Gaerne SG10 and the Gaerne SG11. I can't find much on the SG11.

Thank you,
Brian

Hey baddrapp,

Good question. The Gaerne SG11 boots have a modern profile. From the tops of the boots to the ankles, they don’t taper in quite as much because there is more reinforcement around the ankles. Also, their heel to toe profile is stubbier than the SG10s. The SG10s have the older mx cut with their aggressive tapering around the ankles and long nose / heel to toe profile. Another example of the new vs old profiles can be seen when comparing the Alpinestars Tech 7s to the Alpinestars Tech 8 Lights.

In addition, the SG11's inner grip pads have a larger surface area and their pivot system has been redesigned for better range of motion, similar to the SG12s.

If you have any other question give me a shout.

Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you. Would the sg11 fit knee braces better then the sg10. Would the sg11 have better ankle support and protection?
