transfering route to c340 on a mac

using garminroad trip i created a route and saved it. when i hook my c340 up to the computer via USB cable and click on the send tab i get this error message:

The following items cannot be transferred:

1. Routes

Either the GPS does not support the items or RoadTrip needs
to be upgraded.

Press OK to transfer the other items you selected (if any).

i just downloaded road trip today so i believe it is the current version and would not need t be updated.

can anyone give me an idea what i am doing wrong and why i can't transfer a route to the unit?

Well, since it says "Routes - 0" in the specs I'm willing to bet on "GPS does not support the items".

All you can do with that unit is autoroute to a certain location. Pretty useless IMHO.
