the bike did great. I guess. Got just under 40 mpg. 120 for 3 gallons of gas. The bike purred across 9 states in 2 days. 1500 miles the last 2 days. Not bad for a free parts bike. I wrote things alone the way in the pa bs a Rama thread. Not enought to called It a ride report. Just shorts and pictures. I also picks up the central us photo tag. . So I got 2 today. I figure I would leave that one in Marieta. That way the Ohio guys can play with it.

After riding sportbikes and Super Motards for the last 12 years, the VMax was awesome. I did not push it. I rode and took many stops to look at silly crap. I ate when I was hungry. Stopped when I was tired. No schedule except to be home by 3pm today. And I made it with and hour to spare. I have a great time. And I did my wifes friend a favor at the same time. Not to be a dick. But I think I preffer to ride alone. So I can do my own pace. Stop when I want.

If I'm LD riding I agree completely.

However I do enjoy a good 100 or so mile RTE on a Sunday with others.

You must be shorter than I am. I liked my 05' V-max but didn't find it comfortable enough for anything over 200 miles. So it became the V-strom.

I am 5'11". But short legs. Don't get me wrong. I have ridden more comfy bikes. But compared to my Ktm it's a Goldwing.
