Patrick, gad you finally got to see the egg, now get your buddies to MOVE it. Don't let it get stgnant like the CA guys and gals did.

John, did you fine the egg when you were there? Can't believe you guys went that far out of your way and didn't unload one of those KLR's and snag the tag. NOTICE i DIDN'T TRAILER MY BIKE ON MY TRIP TO DAWSON CITY AND BACK!!!

We did not disturb the egg. There were people there and we didn't want to raise their interest in what might be in the concrete box. We thought about unloading 1 of the bikes, but it just didn't seem right since we were not riding.

Sorry we missed you in Dawson, we did make it for the last day of D2D but there was only 1 rider left in the campground when we got there.

PS; Happy Birthday!! Missed the party :(

Nice Tag Grab

Beautiful day to have the magic of eggstacy bless you Patrick.
Good luck with your eggcelent adventure.

We'll be watching for the drop. I'm going to be riding a Wee Strom back from Seatle in the middle of August so I may have a shot at your egg drop location.

I haven't looked at this thread for a while and holy smokes someone needs to grab that SS knife that I left in the bag at Marietta, OH. That's some fine cutlery there and needs to go a good home.

Drop! Drop! Drop!!!

OK all you North American TAG players.....the game is back ON!!

On hwy 101 on the Southern Oregon Coastline, is a small fishing town called Port Orford. At the Southern end of Port Orford, is a Tourist Information Center, which is also home to Battle Rock Park.
Battle Rock, a dominate site on this spectacular portion of Oregon's beach, was the site of the historic battle between the first landing party of white settlers (Captain Tichenor's crew of nine men) and a local Qua-to-mah band of Athapascan speaking natives. The event of June 9, 1851 was the beginning of the settling of Port Orford. Tichenor dreamed of Port Orford being a supply town, with a road to the mines in the Rogue River Valley and the Upper Klamath River in California. His dream of a supply town never materialized, however he did operate the first sawmill on the south coast, and built the ship Alaska in 1857.

Here is the TAG shot...

Walk up to the sign and look down the little trail right behind it...

see the fire hydrant down the trail...the EGG and his bag of goodies are hiding under the brush right behind it...(as shown here by the Lovely Miss Pamela. {daughter #2)

SO...the game is ON!!! Someone go get it!!! Let's get this game in motion where it belongs!!

Pictures you have taken previously in your journeys and have been storing them like 'files'.

Meaning if someone posts a tag of a place you already have a pic of, to bad, so sad. You still have to actually ride out to the tag and take a new picture.

If you rode out to the tag location, took the picture, but when you went to post it found that someone else had already beat you to it, that is called a Brucing (named after a player of the Farney's Ohio Tag-O-Rama)

Also a swingset tag is one where you do not have to ride far to tag. Named after a different player of the above Tag-O-Rama that was able to push his bike across the street to claim a tag without even starting it.

OK Wibby...the rules are pretty simple.

remember playing TAG as a kid (you were a kid at one time...weren't you??)

you make a 'grab' by posting a pic of your bike in the TAG location, and then post a new 'drop' pic with a pic of your bike in the "new" local.

the North American TAG has been ALL OVER the entire North American continent. Way up in Canada, all over the US of A, down to the Southern tip of Mexico, up to the Yukon!!! ....and now it made it's way down to our neck of the woods.

One little side twist to this game was the inclusion of a 'mascot'. It started out as a rubber toy (that got pinched out of a flower bed in NYC), and then went on to become Mr. EGG. Read back over this thread...this has been a wyld game!!!

Frankly, I feel very honored to get to play in this game that I've been watching from the comfort of my computer for quite some time now.
