the egg has been nabbed again!
I'm reporting by phone, so this note is short. A 450 mile trip to the Observatory means your"precious" is MINE for a couple of days.
I got home just after dark last night. I will re-drop tomorrow (Sunday) on another trip. Full report and pix will have to wait until Monday, when I get to my Laptop that I left at my Office, in my haste to hit the road.

Well........ the EGG has been Apple Jam'ed:
![]() Scout18 said he made his stash look like it had been there for years. But when I got there I was thinking that this was just too public of a place. ![]() Some kid woulda seen this, right by this campground. The adrenaline was really flowing by then, and I was thinkig all sorts of crazy shit; Did someone beat me here? Did some kid find it, by accident, and is now playing with this fuggin' EGG by his campfire somewhere? Did some dog dig it up, and carry it away like a dried out old bone?. Nope it was there. Just like Scout18 said it was. Heeeee Heeeee!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() My cheap camera shutter sticks, and won't open all the way without some help. Sometimes I forget about it, and take pictures anyway. In this case, it made for kind of a cool effect: ![]() The EGG Posing on my Bike: ![]() The crap that egghunters-left-in-the-bag Posing on the log: ![]() The EGG and I Posing, while some curious local campers take "our" picture: ![]() Well, I did NOT make a re-drop on Sunday. It didn't "feel" right. I was with a group of riders, and the time just never presented itself. Mebbe it was the EGG pushing it's wishes on me with these strange powers that Digiamo keeps telling us about. So, I'm thinking (the EGG is MAKING me think?), this is ADVENTURE Rider, right? These last few drops I have been following have been just a bit too easy to get to. At least Scout18 made me do about 6 miles of Nasty Washboard Gravel to get to the drop spot, with free range full of cows to dodge, and squish, squirt, oooohh , well, "stuff" on my tires. What do you all think about stepping this up just a bit? A real ADVenture? I'm thinking still fully accessable by ANY Dual-Sport bike, big or small, but maybe just far enough away from society to make y'all get just a bit DIRTY finding it? Well Digiamo and Company, Whadya think. I think it's what the EGG wants.......

Keep in mind, I have ridden a Gold Wing pulling a Bunkhouse to Inuvik and back. Dirt and gravel can be done on street tires!!!

Woo-Hoo!....nice grab AJ!!
and whle I definately respect the idea of an 'adventure' drop... the problem with them is that (if you've been following this thread for any length of time will see)...is that the TAG can sit, and sit, and sit before anyone can make it to the location to make a 'grab'. (the EGG sat in sunny Southern Cal for weeks on end, while the same couple of players moved it around hoping to generate some interest in the game............nope!! Apathy rules in SoCal, and this wasn't in some secluded 'drop' spot either....this was in downtown San Diego! )I must say though, that the PNW players certaintly have stepped up to the plate, and kept the EGG happily bouncing along since Mr.Wibby made my grab. Yea PNW!!!! btw AJ........nice 990!!!! Hiya Mac!

BTW if anybody doesnt know and wants to ride the "Going To The Sun" road one last time, this is the year to do it. Rumor has it the road will be closed this year. Apparently the costs of keeping it open has forced them to close it to everybody... except the tour buses, those who generate revenue, and contributed most generously to some political figures re-election campaign. Sadly I will be seeing it for my first (and probably last) time in a car (wife doesnt ride ). Okay seriously the plan they allegedl adopted is an 8-10 year plan, but it will be closed in portions. Please refer to : http://www.nps.gov/glac/planyourvisit/gttsrfaq.htm For future reference.
