So, I quit work and went for a little ride in the cold rain. Typically no problem and I was thinking how great it was to have a heated jacket and gloves. Then it dawned on me that not one, but both, boots were leaking. Oh well, gotta work on the old water proofing.
Anyway, look at the cold miserable little guy I found trying to hide in a hole! ![]() On a warm sunny day, like tomorrow, Indian Steps would be a beautiful place. As Arnold said "I'll be back." ![]() Here's the money shot. I came in from the paved end and went out the gravel road that climbs a somewhat steep hill. That wet mud was a bit slick for street tires, but the Feejer handled it without fuss. ![]() The little guy is safe and warm for the evening: ![]() He gets to see the Nation's Capitol tomorrow (work does get in the way) and then tomorrow evening should be in a new hidy hole. People in the Md game didn't like having a tag actually in DC, so Ve Haf Udder Plans. Checks

Good grab WreckChecker. Shame that you didn't save your trip for today. Not only would the museum grounds be more fun, but the roads in that area are pretty fun as well when they are dry.
One of my favorite "test" roads is down there as well. It does not show up on most maps, not really much of a road any more. Lots of mud, rocks and puddles to play in and test the latest tires/farkles on the Uly.

Not that I live really close to DC but I do head that way from time to time and it might be fun.

BH Visits Maryland Eastern Shore
New tag. After 400 miles this week in rain, today was beautiful and 77 degrees. I started out to simply put the little guy next to I-95, but the wife's out of town and I found myself on the Eastern Shore. The new tag location will be easy for Delaware folks, because it's at the southern tip of Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge:
![]() There's nothing historic, it's just a peaceful place with nice views: ![]() ![]() Here's the money shot. Blockhead is on the ground under a fallen tree limb, as shown by the arrow. ![]() Getting closer. He's not quite tucked under, so you'll see him if looking down. ![]() The sign visible in the above shot: ![]() ![]() No more neighborhood tag. Go get him!

This is pretty close to the top of the Eastern shore - an hour to Delaware, 2 to the Delaware bridge & NJ, or 4.5 to NY City.
To put it in context & because they would have to go north and then south around a long inlet, VA Beach would be most of a 6 hour ride. Each way. If somebody's that hard-up & wants to ride 12 straight hours, they'll have worked for it.
