UNLESS*.... FF's like me and a few others get lucky enough in life to ride the long ride to go get the little big EGG. The reward in any case is the power of distance either obtained through Egg alone or through the ride to go get it.

Distance between destinations is the space in which future FF friends are located. I have met great riders and non riders on the Egg mission.

Mister Egg is pissed off. He liked it in the Northwet, and isnt happy about being buried in a sandflat .. or whatever you buried him in :-)

Broke a scapula in a riding accident in Akron OH not too long ago.
Besides, he would want to keep that game in play in the southern riding weather through the winter.

I actually live in San Diego now. I was on my way to CT when the accident occurred. I'm almost healed now, but am still waiting on State 8 to make an offer.

Here is the opening line from Mac:

Yesterday, traveling through some very heavy traffic in Akron OH, I had the front wheel lock while braking, released, moved to the break down lane next to the jersey wall, only to have the car in front me do the same. Reapplied the brakes, skidded into the wall. I think the trailer ran over top of my right shoulder. The car in front of got back n the travel lane and I, the bike and traier ended in front of her. She got stopped 3-4 feet from my helmet. The bike and trailer did not make contact with anything but me and the jersey wall. I had all my gear on, the face shield of my hat had horrendous scratches. My mesh Olympias are shredded. I have abrasions on my right knee and right wrist. Both mesh gloves are shredded, but right one split at the seam along the thumb side. My right scapula is fractured and I cannot pick my arm up. I am with some GWRRA friends who I've known for years. The bike is at my local dealer and they are going to check damages and give an estimate on the difference for a low mileage '09 (3,000 miles). For the first time in my life, I am considering a life without a motorcycle. I have a lot of soul searching to do in the next week or so. Thanks for the concern on the coffee thread and the CTSToc thread.

I am healling nicely. The road rash scabs are all but gone, the range of motion of my right arm is almost 100% back, with pain, but the strength is only about 70%.
