On a completely unrelated but related topic: If somewhere along the way we lose the Egg (or he disintegrates under the Nth Dremel attack), I can volunteer this guy to be the next mascot:

(I mean, really, what else can one do with that? )
There's a wole lotta jokes in that picture right there now....

Shouldn't that be attached to a suction cup rather than a marble base?

I'm guessing it takes AA batteries.

Sorry for the delay on retagging, but it has been tough getting the egg to leave...until now.

I returned home from work on Wednesday, and the egg told me he had been thinking. He said I have a good life, and he is envious. He is tired of always being on the move. Going from town to town. Everyone is his friend, but he has no friends. He decided he was going to settle down.

So the egg got a job.

He went in Thursday, and everything seemed ok. Then Friday I stopped by to see how he was doing. He seemed pretty busy and strung out. So, I didn't bother him.

It appears he took up smoking. This was a shot from Thursday night when he was out smoking alone.

So Friday I get a call from our Lab guy. He says he called me because the egg was my friend and referral. He tells me the egg has lost his mind and was in the server room tearing wires out, yelling something about, "I am not going to take it anymore."

Today, the egg told me he realized he had it pretty good, and it was time to hit the road again.
I gave him a few momentos, we went for a short hike in the woods, and he is still there with his thumb out trying to hitch a ride.

Well done - glad to see the egg is en route again. I didn't realize the weight of such responsibility.

I didn't make him a but head. He drove himself to it with the long hours and high stress.

The Egg and I

16 months ago, I added my moniker to Mr. Egg's (at the time) fairly naked hide at a campground way up north (Mount Carlton Provincial Park, New Brunswick, Canada, which is as far north (and perhaps east) as Mr. Egg has yet been):

But alas, I didn't have a scratchy tool with me and the marker I used wasn't permanent, 'cause that tat wore off over his long subsequent travels. This time, I made sure it was deep and (hopefully) permanent. (Please forgive me for overwriting bits of some earlier scribblings):

I introduced him to the local clan:

and thought maybe he'd like to visit some of his relatives.

"Hi, guys! What, no tats?"

But, being completely oblivious to his egg-ness, I offered him an inappropriate breakfast. Consequently, he has stopped talking to me altogether:

He said, "Get me outta here!" and I comply in my next post.

New Tag

Here's your new tag:

It's on the ...

end of the ...

Little Squiddy, the Egg and I took a little walk out on the bridge:

where Mr. Egg took in the view of New England's longest river:

Squiddy bailed on that idea (and it's a damn good thing I didn't drop Mr. Egg off the railing into the river 200 feet below, eh? )

Back at the parking lot, from a view a little further from the bridge:

Turn around and you'll see this speed limit sign and a stump right behind it:

Just behind the stump you'll see a hemlock tree with lower branches that touch the ground:

Mr. Egg and his traveling companions (augmented a bit by yours truly) are in a plastic bag right under that branch (I'm holding it up in this picture):

Goodbye, Eggie! Bon Voyage! Bon Chance! (What? You're still not talking to me?)
