Lessee... retiring EOD as EMCS? Not sure if the 3MC was nuke or EOD or both, but either way...
Yes, that pin is something.
But what it really means is that Dave will have some good stories over beer!

Oh...plenty of stories

But I wasn't an EOD Tech. (Them guys is crazy, who walks towards things that go "Boom"??)
My last Command was with Navy EOD where I was the Maintenance and Material Management Coordiator (3MC)
(fancy name for making sure the guys in the field have the right instructions for maintaining their gear)

Love the people and work enough to stay on after retiring

Anything that requires an act of Congress is a big thing.

Salute.

If you've never heard "Contemplating the Engine Room" by Mike Watt - go find it. Here's a couple of the tunes:

Both or neither depending on the viewpoint
PCS - USS Sam Houston - SSN-609
That is not a typo, when I rode it, the missles were gone and it had been redesignated as a fast attack - tho we called ourselves a slow approach.
TAD to USS Florida - SSBN-728 for it's first patrol to see what boomer life was like.

Will check out the other links when on my own computron.

Our slogan was 'piss on it and call the Navy'.

Any underwater ordnance was theirs.

Seriously Bruce? You gonna jump on that bandwagon....

I'll assume that anyone who would do that is either lazy, scared, or both; but that's alright, Navy has your back, unless they're in the submarine community, then they have your backside...
