The Drop
Eggy being the nomad he is, was itching to get on the road again. So he sat down and updated the usb drive.
![]() Then he gave me the requirements for the journey to the drop spot 1) twistie roads 2) shade. So we geared up and away we went. ![]() and into Virginia we went ![]() and to my favorite road, a must if in the vicinity ![]() Eggy like this road so much we had to do the 6 miles twice..just a blast. We then sat down at an over look to take in the view. ![]() ![]() ![]() On our way to the drop off point we got stuck behind these guys, not risking a ticket we relaxed ![]() So we continued to the drop point...this place This high point, 3,030 feet above sea level, along the crest of the Blue Ridge Escarpment affords a stunning 360 degree view of the countryside. To enhance the view, an observation tower was constructed that resembles an old tobacco barn. Buffalo Mountain and the Carolina Piedmont can be seen from here in the distance. The site features a picnic area with many tables and grills. A historic cemetery is also located at the site. The National Park Service has an interesting collection of wood rail fence types available for viewing to help interpret a long past fencing approaches once used in the mountain ![]() we climbed up and looked East ![]() we looked west ![]() We looked North ![]() But when we looked South, we found the spot ![]() ![]() So we went down to the chosen area, looked back up, ![]() We said a Prayer together thanking for our safe journey and a safe adventures future to all who come in contact with Eggy. Then we found his resting spot and said our good byes until the next time. ![]() ![]() ![]() THis concludes KingJarhead and Eggy's Adventure

No Problem...Great riding up there. I have even claimed a Va TOR once got bruced on one. I figure it will be gone soon. I had plans on dropping it off in Chincoteaque, VA this weekend but...plans changed, had to take the cage.

Just saw that he visited Art's campground. Just wanted to post pictures of him as he was a good friend to everyone he knew and just a great guy.

Hoping an inmate has Eggy on the move as he's no longer hanging out under the white rocks behind the tree at Groundhog Mountain picnic area.

Here's a shot of Eggy saying goodbye to the Grounghog Mt. lookout tower. Headed north. More soon when I get the pics loaded. My DSL has been extra slow since we lost power for a while yesterday.

Eggy said goodbye to the BRP and ended up in Kentucky coal country. Found an excellent road along the way. Route 80 through Hayters Gap, don't know if I've ever been on a road that's more fun to ride!
Here's Eggy's new abode. ![]() Eggy is hiding on this work train just in front of this #1547 car. ![]() He's under this board. ![]() Inside this rusty metal bracket. ![]() I talked to the guys that tend the museum and let them know that somebody on a motorcycle will come by one day and start rumaging around in their exhibit.

This is different than the usual photo tag. I feel responsible for Eggy, there's a lot of history there.
I found a great tag spot nearby but had to move on because there were too many people around. I was afraid someone would see me hiding Eggy. Hope nobody poaches him from the train. I think this spot is secure.
