Mr Egg visited these Murals which are painted on the rocks in Chloride AZ.
Not really sure why somebody would choose to paint them so far from public view. They were painted by Roy Purcell in about 1966, and are about 2000 sq ft in size. ![]() ![]() ![]()

That painting has held up remarkably well if it was painted in 1966. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Mr Egg has been placed.
The Egg has been placed near Morman lake, but the darn computer at the hotel will not allow me to open two different sites.
Going to try and find another computer tonight. |

Mr. EGGS New Home
The Historic Mormon Dairy. You will pass this site before getting to the Morman Lake campground.
![]() ![]() This is the view if you were coming from Mormon Lake. ![]() And this is the view before you get to Mormon Lake. ![]() The egg pouch before being covered with rocks. ![]() Mr. EGG is resting beneath this rock pile. ![]() The EGG is resting about 25 feet directly above the rock structure. Just a couple of feet behind the power pole. ![]() Look for this sign when coming from Flagstaff. ![]() Then turn left on Mormon Lake Road. The Mormon Dairy site will be on your right, after riding for several miles. ![]() I will post more pictures when I get home tomorrow. Oh, funny. I rode right past there Saturday morning, about 10AM. Wish we could'a met at the the event...
Good drop point for Mr. Egg. The route on the west road is more scenic than just running up 'n down Lake Mary Road (Co-3). I ran into several people I know,,, the event was pretty large, big crowds, lots of Big Boyz ToyZ available for Big Buck$. I posted some pics at Picasa, take a look here.

The Egg's Arizona Adventure.
On the way to Mormon Lake, The Egg made some new friends:
![]() ![]() ![]() He stopped in Seligman, for breakfast at West Side Lelo's Cafe: ![]() ![]() Then it was on to Flagstaff passing above 7300 feet. Has he ever been photographed at a higher altitude? ![]() Then finally ending up at his destination: ![]() Eggy has seen some strange things before, but he thinks this tops them all. Yes, that is a dog in the cage. They packed everything but the kitchen sink: ![]() ![]() ![]() It was fun. He now awaits his next adventure:

POLL: Where should Eggy land next?
I'm rolling out this morning for another month, will make it at least to S.E. Ohio, Wisconsin, and South Dakota, plus lots of places in between... Let me know.

But if it does make it all the way to SE Ohio then I will take a day off and try to pick him up. However I'm not a big mileage rider, so I wouldnt move him much further than somewhere else in Eastern OH, northern WV or western PA. Good luck and enjoy the trip. Craig |
