Time for a poll?

If not, let Blinkerfluid's rule stand.

Ok, I've created a poll here:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=455970

For the time being the game will go on as is since currently there is no question as to who the tag belongs to.

I'm sorry that I've created such an issue.
I can say that I prefer having a "cache" item with the tag. As others have stated. It levels the playing field as their would be no technology advantage, and their would also be no need to ride like crazy just to get home to post the tag.
I was going to take the tag and place it somewhere on the Natchez Trace Parkway, but I think I'll take ST-Rangers advice and place it where there is an active TOR. So look for the chicken to show up somewhere in Georgia next.

But..... this is a "road trip" tag game. Not like the State games, where you grab it and move it the same day. I look to see this one as things progress moving cross country, traveling with folks on their vacation ect.... One thing I'm pretty sure of though is a laptop with wireless is pretty much a necessity. I'd say it would be reasonable for a few hrs after the grab for it not to be posted but with every chain restaurant and coffee shop having wifi service I can't imagine it being longer than till the grabber stops to eat. I mean the Netbook I use cost me less on ebay than the GPS many here have mounted to their bike cost them.

Totally agree.

Totally disagree. I don't have a netbook or I-Phone and have done a nearly 5 hour ride to get bruced by somebody who simply lived closer. I chuckled, as getting bruced is part of the game and interest. But the wifi/Iphone gives you an advantage of hours and I just don't need those toys in the rest of my life.

Again agree for the most part. That's why I mentioned if the tag doesn't show up within a reasonable time (a day?), the first photo gets it. Even if the person with the mascot isn't heading home or to a hotel, there are libraries and plenty of other places with internet access.

Having the chicken or not isn't going to change the chances of getting bruced.. you'll just know if you were bruced when you get to the the tag instead of riding home and finding out.

Anyway, I agree that if the rule changes there will be a time limit to claim the tag.. 24 hours does seem reasonable to me.. After that, first photo of the tag gets it.. We'll wait for the poll to end before I change any rules though, even though it looks like most people are in favor of choking the chicken

New N.A. Tag.

Here is the new tag location.
No trickie riddles or hidden clues are required to find this place.
Its located on Georgia highway 189 (Lookout Mountain Parkway).
Its located about 15 miles above Trenton, GA and about 15 miles south of Chattanooga, TN.
Not much to look at in the tag picture,

But step up to the observation deck and the views are spectacular.

Some clues here if you need them.

The little chicken is located under the observation deck on the right side. Go over to the far corner and reach under the lattice panel, around the rock, and its under a piece of old carpet. Nobody is going to accidently find this little guy.

I hope whoever finds it has as much fun riding there as I did. To windy for any gliders to be flying today, but hopefully some will be there for you.

I claim cyber tag which, I imagine, cuts no ice with you guys but it's computer braggin' rights...

First is the actual tag photo

Then the observation deck and the corner is on the right but I doubt you can see the chicken...

Third is the sign albeit a bit blurry...

Here's your new tag! It's in east Tennessee.

Here's the owner Mike taking it easy. Nice Guy.

The little chicken is buried in the planter to his left under the plaque.

If you come by and ask Mike about the chicken, he says he'll give you a free hat! How about that?

Mike's hats are so cool, I traded a nice little door-prize stool for one at the '08 Old Skool rally.
