MrsDonkeys actually encouraged me to go get that one....about 10 hours before she went into labor. For once, I'm glad I didn't go chase a tag.

For the new people just tuning in, here is an idea of the kind of effect this TOR has on folks: We have a rider, who on his first carry, allowed himself to get roped into (by the author) taking Eggy about two thousand miles from Stagecoach RTE in southern Alabama to San Diego where he proceeded with all the best intentions to stow Eggy where it would be easily accessible to be picked up. Unaware of one of the rules, he was flamed for a bad drop. He was frustrated to say the least.
Later that year (2010) I had possession while at Moonshine lunch run near Casey, Illinois where I showed him Eggy to try to entice him back into the game. He rejected the idea saying "Get that thing away from me" all the while unable to keep his eyes off it. While I held it up to him teasingly, he took steps away then turned to take it and look at his name carved into Eggy's alibaster surface. He began to aggressively deepen the etching with a nail or something all the while repeating "keep this thing away from me. I don't want anything to do with this egg"
I was laughing while being amazed at the dichotomy.
Well folks, that same FF is currently riding his heart out from San Diego and is Cosmo bound. He reported in from Texas after having left SD yesterday.

I am beside myself, I am so impressed with Motomac's willingness to ride anywhere (north of the border) anytime.

Anyone considering a grab may* have up to two days to do it.
There is no telling where Cosmo will be after Mac gets his hands on it.

I love it, I just love this stuff!

Let's hope he completes this mission without a hitch.

I would love to have that freedom. Work and family take precedence over the TAG.

There is alot of our country I want to see on motorcycle. I envy those that get to do just that. Ride on!

Even you guys who, due to family and employment commitments, can't make the grab, can at least cheer on those that are keeping the game rolling.

Ride with the wind, Mac!

I'm in Magnolia MS. I will say this about Cosmo: I will not take him west of TX. Period, amen. I am soooooo disgusted with the California riding community, it will never get there again at least not with me. A few st-owners pitched and moved the old egg a couple of times, but Nutsy sat in that spider infested guard rail on Sunset Cliffs for almost a year, and then JR came and rescued him. If I get Cosmo tomorrow, I'll take hime for a ride for sure. He'll see parts of GA, AL, MS, and TX. May stop and look up JR in Houston.

Mac, no matter where you take Cosmo, it is secondary to the fact that you may be in contention for longest ride to get* to* a tag mascot.

Yo go baby!

I think jrjoyce2007 will have him beat by a few miles. He went from Eastern NC, down through all the southern states, and to San Diego to rescue Nutsy once.

He took some detours, and was close to 3,000 miles for that grab.

Thanks RD, for that bit of history, and a big WOW! to that ride too.

Hear that Mac? Add another 401 miles and get the title. Maybe a trip down to the Keys. :)

How quick we forget my pick up in the middle of the country (Lebanan KS) and take Nutsy to Dawson City YT and drop him in OR on the way home to CA. Or that trip that brought JR to CA, I picked up Nutsy in OR and then went to OK to get Eggy and introduce them to each other. I think I left Eggy in Twin Arrows AZ and took Nutsy to CA.

All very impressive rides and don't think for a minute I forgot them. I am up to my old tricks, getting controversy to bump this thread.

...besides if you want to include the entire* TAG run and not just the pick-up leg which is what I'm talking about here, we are going to have to look closely at that Belize run in April 2010.

Having been part of several of the moves mentioned above, I was sorry to see Eggy depart. I'll catch up with Cosmo somewhere soon.

Moonshine Lunch Run happens in just a couple weeks. Who's going?

You know I'm going to be there, not sure about Cosmo, haven't got him yet!

Grab Eminent

I see Mac is currently south of Orlando and making good time toward Cosmo, according to his SPOT. He should have Cosmo in his hands in a couple of hours.

I am stoked to see the enthusiasm of this rider.
Or is it just a result of too much time on his hands? :)

Either way, a few more like him and we can blow the lid off all TAG-O-Rama's.

Way to ride hard, Mac!
