You sure did move it.
So, how long was it really? Lessee, I could be there in a bit over 14 hours of straight riding, plus Customs, and then... :)

So this was the first real long ride I had done on this bike... Or any bike really. The total trip was 3,000km and I did it in 3.5 days. I left Thursday after work and got home Sunday at 4:00, it was tiring and my A** still hurts!!!
The first full day was all about riding, I left Montreal went to the park turned around and headed back to Quebec City. This didnt leave much time for anything else. I did about 1200 km that day and it took me 13 hours of riding time!! I do have an Alaskan Sheep Skin Butt pad, but I dont think it helped much. I did find that shifting my weight from one side of the seat to the other, then to the passenger seat, then back was all that could help. Maybe I need a new seat, or need to pack on some weight So I set my Zumo to Quebec City and told it to send me to the Hilton! After the long ride I couldnt wait to sleep in a nice bed... So my Zumo being the intelligent machine it is sent me to a Ferry to get into Quebec City... WTF, why would it not have just sent me to the bridge a few miles down the highway? This was only a 45 minute delay once I figured out what happened and had the directions updated. I arrived at the Hilton at 9:00 and they only had one room left, $300.00 for the night WOW! Well I thought about it and said sure.. Well apparently they were mistaken, they actually were showing the room to someone else and they decided to take it. So I left the Hilton and Tried the Sheraton, and about 10 other places downtown. Nothing, they were all sold out. I ended up over near the airport and stayed at this lovely place.. ![]() The good news is it saved me about $220.00!! I had a shower... So did Mr. Egg ![]() I went back out had some McD's for dinner and hit the hay. The next morning we got a late start and headed out at 10:00, we stopped here quickly but it was closed? ![]() We passed a few more and all were closed, so we kept going... I took 138 the whole way, so we didnt cover as much ground as on the way out. We stopped for a nice lunch outside Trois Rivieres, and although it was A&W we still had the Quebec National Dish (Poutine). ![]() It seems everywhere in Quebec has poutine even McDonalds had it. After lunch we kept going and it was HOT, my computer said 31.5 degrees but it felt like 40 with the humidity. Crossing a bridge I noticed a nice water spot I could stop at for a dip, so we turned off and took a quick dip in the Ottawa river. ![]() Mr Egg isnt a great swimmer... I started looking for a room in Pembrooke, but nothing, Petawawa same deal, I even tried a few camp sites, everything was booked. We ended up staying at the Pine motel in a nice room with no A/C and it was pretty hot today. Oh well, I went over to a nice place for food called Laurentian View Dairy Restaurant, it was a great place with home style cooking. They also make all of there own ice cream and shakes. I had Lasagnia and a great Chocolate Milk Shake. ![]() Next morning when I went out to the bike I noticed it had rained, well my nice Alaskan Butt Pad was soaked so off it came and strapped to the back of the bike. Also my "water proof" GPS setup apparently isnt so water proof, the XM Radio connector apparently isnt sealed and water got in so no more radio .Well we said bye to the Pine Motel ![]() And went back to the Laurention View Dairy for Breakfast, I had Bacon Eggs & Sausage... And another Chocolate Milk Shake. ![]() From there it was off to drop the Egg. I will post some more pics of the drop day later. |

Now for the next inmate to come along and take the egg for a ride.
