Boy, now i do feel better about dropping a camshaft retaining clip all the way down to the oil sump... My fishing skills are either that great... you can imagine the rest...

Being on the other side of the world to your bike is not an excuse Tileman and LukasM how about you documenting some of your bmw and 525 antics.

I'm going to do some intensive research at the weekend about different terrains I may encounter on the beast.

Not an excuse!!!!!!! I´m 3000 US dollars, 3 months, and 16000 miles away from mine.

But, yep, its not a complete excuse, I´m doing wiring diagrams and the like and some CAD work on the front headlight mounts etc. But I still figure I have a good reason for no physical work on the bike being done.

Look foward to the updates when you get into it, Mezo has been a bit slack recently with new pics, well ones of the bike anyhow (the personal add ones just don´t cut it) and I think I am starting to look for a replacement for his build thread (before it turns into a ride thread).

Sorry mate, I just had Colebatch visit me and realized that I have way too many bikes - well projects, really.

I am going to sell all of them and get a KLR instead. And I am going to leave it completely stock, too.

I've just switched from full time work to being self employed so i have to get a bit established before i put more time and money in to the project.

What did you go from and to? Must be something with skills as so far you have shown a few.

I was working as a mechanic for a boat hire place and now I'm just working as a boat/outboard mechanic and hopefully I'll start doing more fabrication work as well
