Thats a nice neat way to carry extra fluids when you have saddle bags on.

I made a rack for a guy recently that slung a 5 liter jery under the left side It worked quite well because he put is saddle bags quite far forward away from the exhaust.

...and a bump for the new year

Here's hoping that DRJoe can get his mojo back and finish up what he started.

Seriously though, leaving us hanging for the last 8 months or so, is naughty. I hope santa left you a lump of coal in your christmas stocking.

Let that be a lesson to you young man.

(all in good fun of course)

DRJoe, that is okay, we know that all this time that you have been doing other things, you have been collecting ideas for the DR, so when you get back to it, it will be unreal. If that is not true, keep it to yourself, we don't need to know.

Joe, just found your thread, nice work. Gotta see the finished product.

FWIW some years ago I repowered an Izuzu Elf truck I had with a Holden red motor. I added an engine number that happened to be the same as the outgoing one which was scrapped and melted. 2 numbers, but as long as the rego check saw the 'right' one under the in cab inspection/access cover, no worries. Its illegal to change a number, but all I did was add a new one in a more accessable location, and left the original untouched.

Cheers mate.

I like your take on the law, would be funny hearing you explain the two engine numbers to a cop.

If i cant somehow get it registered I'll be doing something like that.

Disclaimer.
For any officers of the law reading this I would never dream of taking a bike with mismatched numbers on the road, it will be a strictly off road bike
