Luggage Rack for '94-'97 VFR750???
Where does one find a luggage rack for a 4th-gen VFR750 (94-97)?
The commute to work is a larger portion of my riding time, so I like to have at least a top case to carry my laptop, shoes, lunch, etc. I have Hepco Becker top & side cases for my Guzzis now, so, racks for them would be wonderful. I did find a site in the UK with the HB side case rack pictured with the top case rack. It is listed as "pannier rack", so I don't know if the top rack is included, but it would be $448 to my door. That is about double what I paid for the set for my V7 here in the states. There is another vender, this one in the states, that sells HB stuff, http://www.amotostuff.com, but they don't list the VFR750 as a bike they have racks for. If I can get just a regular luggage rack, I have a converter plate I can mount on it to mount my top case, and I'd be happy. Heck, I'd even consider a Givi rack & case, knowing that they make racks for everything -- then, I know it'd be easy to use with future bikes.

Congrats. That exhaust looks...just awful I hope you replace it with something that flows a little better with the bike.

![]() ![]() ![]() As for the rack, if you want a topcase, go for the Givi. I'm also desperately looking for side racks - they have all been discontinued. Difficult to get. I actually think for the Givi rack you'd also need the specific mounting kit which has been discontinued. The best side racks IMO are the ones from Five Stars. But guess what - discontinued.

As for that racks, this is the part that sucks about having an older bike. I guess I'll be using a seat bag for now with this one. I might just suck it up and pay the price being asked by the UK vendor that lists racks for this bike on their website -- if they actually have any in stock.

Eyeing a 96 750 with 12k; staintune, new rubber, clean but not immaculate. For about 2k or so, does that seem reasonable? I think this would be a decent strom compliment and would be a good starting point to try a bike like this out?

Based on your description, I'd say that's a nice buy for $2000.

Hell I bought mine in similar shape with the same mileage for $2800. Do it. Has the reg/rect been fixed yet? Figure another $200 for that if you replace the wiring harness too.
