Had mine for almost a year now, I commute with mine to work everday here in Hong Kong, China. Odd weekend rides with people for breakfast but mostly running errands and heading out to the country side. Some pics to share with you guys:

My bike came w/o a tool-kit or centerstand ( I have the erion racing headers that don't allow me to fit one anyway) and it's been about 6,000 miles since the last time the chain was adjusted. It seems loose when I check it on the sidestand and I can pull it back on top of the sprocket w/ 1-2mm of loose play between the teeth.

I simply can't justify a 47 dollar minimum service charge @ the dealer to do this for me (plus he says I have to leave the bike overnight) for what should be a 10 minute affair. Is my only other option buying a spanner and a pit-bull stand ($$$) so I can do this myself?

Is there a jury-rigged stand I can fab or cheap spanner out there that works?

Or does anyone local (Westchester, NY) with a rear-stand want to help a fellow viffer out?

please let me know,

I had Erion headers on my 99 with the stock centerstand, worked fine.

You can adjust the chain on the sidestand if you really need the adjustment or with the help of a friend, lever the rear wheel off the ground by using the sidestand. You can also use a screwdriver to tap the adjustment nut in place of a spanner.
If you're not comfortable with trying the above, PM me and you can come to my place and I'll adjust it for you.

Thanks. They are in NE Oregon--up above the Columbia Gorge.

Here are my VFRs

Everyone here can Identify the '07 RWB VFR800,

The one in front is an '86 VFR700 F2 It was crashed by the first owner, which was a local honda warehouse, the next owner, bought it, repaired it and then I bought it from him. I am always impressed with how it fires right up whenever I need it to. It was originally white with the gold logo, but it was repainted to look more like the 87 model paint scheme.

Under the cowling I can choose to not have the passenger seat present and thus, will have a nice and roomy storage area under the cowling, which will come off easy with the pins. But anyway, I'm just flabbergasted by the bike, the price paid, and how it stirs me. Some scales have fallen off the eyeballs.
I had an R11S and a VFR at the same time.

The S bike, as nice as it was, is gone and the VFR is still here. It's rather intoxicating to ride, isn't it?

It is, and I have a weakness for this.

My '03 K12GT, my wife and her '02 VFR -

If I ever get rid of the GT, my dream is TWO new VFRs with factory bags and ABS. The GT is like a big VFR, but not nearly as easy to handle.

She (and I) both love the VFR.
