Which btw, the VFR absolutely sucks at (that's why I have no pictures, I was too busy holding it upright).

It's not good in mud either, but on your normal dirt/gravel/grass it does just fine.
Yes, but it sure is a challenge standing up for some whoops and then back to slab. Don't know why, but I like taking off down a dirt road / trail as a side venture.......

hello,

i have these listed over in the flea market under parts.
I bought this pair last month, as the seller said that they would fit my XChallenge, but they are no where close. So I am selling them. They are brand new, never installed.

thanks...
PM sent.

I've been hammering the throttle on my 5th gen, and Im paying for it now. Damn thing ate my rear tyre in 6000kms (about 4500mi id guess)

Fark. Its been fun though. I've done 10 passes of the drag strip on it, plus a 1200km weekend through some of the best bends I've ridden. But 6000kms? Jesus. Thats a hard compound centre on it too.

Makes me think I need to get a cheap shitter to commute on, or start driving my car again. My zzr250 would see 14,000kms on the rear.

However, in saying all that, it does get ridden well. And it loves me back for it. Picking up the front whilst passing a car at 50mph? Yep. Getting some air whilst doing the ton? Yep. Getting one back at my neighbours (they did a burnout right out front of my place the other night) by doing a drag launch at 7am with open pipes? Yep. Set off their car alarm too

What does it ask for in return? No maintenance requirements other than regular checks and fluids, and a rear tyre. I guess I can handle that.

ive been told when the vtec engages, it causes extra wear on the tyre, if you keep it under the range, you get twice the tyre life... i dono, i like the revs

Nah its pre vtec. There is no point having a bike that howls like a banshee above 8000rpm if you never take it there. Honda gave us 12,000 revs for a reason

FS: Levers for VFR800 2002-07

thread can be found here
as the lever mounting design seem to be specific for 2002-07 VFR800's
